GALVESTON — Two-year-old Riley Ann Sawyers, known for weeks as Baby Grace, died after a disciplinary plan involving belt lashings went out of control, the attorney for Riley’s mother said Wednesday.

He also revealed that Riley’s mother, Kimberly Dawn Trenor, 19, is pregnant.

Royce Clyde Zeigler II, 24, of Spring stayed home from work July 24 to make sure that Trenor, his wife of less than two months, followed his orders to whip Riley with a belt, not by hand, attorney Tommy Stickler Jr. said.

Zeigler wanted his wife to spank Riley with a belt when she failed to say such things as “please” and “yes sir” or “no sir,” Stickler said. Zeigler didn’t believe Trenor was doing it, however, because Riley’s behavior wasn’t changing.

Somehow the whipping spiraled into holding Riley’s head under water in a bathtub, Zeigler throwing her onto a tile floor, and her face being pushed into a pillow and a couch, according to a statement Trenor gave to investigators on Saturday.

“It got way out of control,” Stickler said. “It wasn’t his plan to beat her so bad she would die. It was his plan to use the belt to beat her to get her to do things the way he wanted.”

He declined to say whether Trenor tried to stop the beating. “In time, the police can answer that question,” Stickler said. “I don’t want to comment on things that the district attorney hasn’t revealed.”

Stickler said Trenor’s statement, made public Monday, was only a fraction of a three-hour interview.

The man believed to be Riley’s father said on a national TV broadcast this morning that he believes Trenor loved the girl and would not have been capable of harming her.

“I never thought she could do anything like this,” Robert Sawyers, of Mentor, Ohio, said in an interview on NBC’s Today show.

“I mean, she loved Riley . . . You can’t not love that little girl the first time you see her, you know,” said Sawyers, 20. “It’s heart-wrenching to think she might have done this to such a beautiful little girl.”

According to Trenor’s statement, she and Zeigler put Riley’s body in a plastic container purchased at a local Wal-Mart and kept it in the garage for up to two months before tossing it into West Galveston Bay. The case attracted national attention after a fisherman discovered the container Oct. 29, washed up on a sand bar about five miles from where it was tossed.

Zeigler’s attorney says facts will be revealed that cast doubt on Trenor’s statement.

“She’s obviously going to try to point the finger to save herself,” attorney Neal Davis III said. “Once we start sorting through these facts, her credibility will be a big issue.”

Davis said it’s too early to know what prompted the beating. “Before we make any kind of comment about what would provoke that and who was provoked, we need to delve into the facts,” he said.

The autopsy report says Riley had three skull fractures. The cause of death has not been made public.

“Did she drown? Did she fall down?” Davis asked. “What actually happened and how did it happen?”

Davis also said his client’s wife is pregnant and being housed in the medical wing of the Galveston County Jail.

Trenor is being kept in the medical wing probably out of fear that other inmates might attack her because of the nature of the allegations, Child Protective Services spokeswoman Estella Olguin said.

Galveston County sheriff’s spokesman Maj. Ray Tuttoilmondo said he is prevented by law from discussing an inmate’s medical condition, but in general, inmates are isolated when other inmates pose a threat.

If Trenor gives birth while in custody, she will not be allowed to keep the child, Olguin said. She said Trenor is 5 feet 7 inches tall and 125 pounds and does not show, so it’s unlikely that she is more than two months pregnant.

She said Trenor would be allowed to choose a relative to keep the child. If she did not, CPS would take the child.

Trenor and Zeigler were charged Saturday with injury to a child and tampering with evidence. Galveston County District Attorney Kurt Sistrunk has said he could ask a grand jury to return a capital murder charge, depending on the results of a continuing investigation.

Jacob P. Mattingly died shortly after 5:30 p.m., Kansas City police said.

Melissa Thompson, 36, of Kansas City, Mo., faced felony child endangerment charges and was in custody in Clay County after police were summoned by doctors treating the child. Doctors told officers the 4-month-old suffered head trauma, hemorrhaging and facial bruising, according to Kansas City police. Thompson was watching the boy at her home when her husband called 911 to report the child’s injuries.The infant was taken to Liberty Hospital and then was flown by helicopter to Children’s Mercy Hospital. Court documents indicated that Thompson first told police she thought that her toddler son had fallen on the infant. Later she said she hit the baby’s head on the wooden portion of a changing table. She was arraigned on Wednesday.”It’s very troubling for detectives who have to investigate these crimes, especially the ones who have kids. Because you see your own kid in that kid that’s in the hospital,” said Capt. Rich Lockhart of the Kansas City Police Department.

HOUSTON – The stepfather of a 2-year-old girl lost control and beat her to death because she wouldn’t say “please” and “yes sir,” an attorney for the girl’s mother said Wednesday.

A body found last month in Galveston Bay is believed to be that of the little girl, Riley Ann Sawyers, though DNA tests are pending. Her mother, Kimberly Dawn Trenor, and stepfather, Royce Clyde Zeigler II, were arrested Saturday.

According to court documents, Trenor, 19, told police she and her husband killed the girl in July and hid her body in a shed before dumping it in the bay.

Trenor’s attorney, Tommy Stickler Jr., said Zeigler, 24, was overwhelmed by his sudden fatherhood and didn’t know what behavior to expect from a toddler. Trenor moved with her daughter from Mentor, Ohio, to Texas in June to be with Zeigler, whom she met online.

Zeigler wanted his wife to spank Riley with a belt when she failed to say things like “please” and “yes sir” or “no sir,” Stickler said Wednesday. Zeigler didn’t believe Trenor was doing it, however, because the 2-year-old’s behavior wasn’t changing.

The fatal beating happened after Zeigler stayed home from work to make sure his wife was following his discipline plan, Stickler said.

In her statement to Galveston authorities, Trenor said the girl was beaten with leather belts, had her head held underwater in a bathtub and then was thrown across a room, her head slamming into a tile floor.

Although the affidavit said the couple abused Riley over a four- to six-hour period, Stickler said it wasn’t a continuous event. Instead, Zeigler grew increasingly enraged as he spanked Riley and she kept forgetting to do things the way he wanted.

“There was never an intention to beat Riley to death,” he said.

At one point, Trenor wanted to call an ambulance but Zeigler wouldn’t let her, saying they would both be arrested if officials saw her injuries, Stickler said. Instead, Riley was given some over-the-counter pain medication.

When Riley later stopped breathing, Zeigler performed CPR on her tiny body, Stickler said.

Neal Davis III, Zeigler’s attorney, said Trenor’s story isn’t believable.

“She is placing all the blame on Royce, but I think that once the facts come to light, once the timeline’s established and the evidence is combed through … I think her credibility is gonna become a big issue,” Davis said.

Trenor and Ziegler were arrested after investigators spent weeks trying to identify the girl they dubbed “Baby Grace,” whose body was found in a plastic box floating in Galveston Bay. Riley’s paternal grandmother in Ohio had called police, thinking a sketch of the dead child might have been the granddaughter she hadn’t seen in months.

Trenor and Zeigler remained jailed Wednesday on charges of injury to a child and tampering with evidence. Bail was set at $350,000 each.

Stickler also said Wednesday that Trenor is pregnant.

The inspectors thought they saw a hand grenade in the man’s pocket and asked him to get off the commuter train at Asha station, in Chelyabinsk in the South Urals region.

He refused and instead demanded that the train go to Vladivostok, thousands of kilometers away on Russia’s Pacific coast, said Liana Ergasheva of the local prosecutor’s office.

“Inspectors wanted to check the papers of passengers who looked drunk, but he took out a grenade. He demanded the train should go to Vladivostok,” Ergasheva said.

Passengers were evacuated and negotiations with the police had started before Mikhail Ershov, 43, triggered the explosion, blasting out windows in the train carriage.

“Ershov had taken the pin out, he then tried to put the pin back in the grenade, but instead it exploded,” the prosecutor said.

The explosion did not kill or injure anyone else.

He taped at least seven current and previous tenants — and an unknown number of their guests.

He was arrested on charges of invasion of privacy after one of his tenants discovered the bugging last week while she was cleaning the flat.

The landlord admitted to police he had been watching and recording tenants and guests. Police suspect he had sexual motives.

“Why do you think someone would put a camera in the bathroom — to see if it was being cleaned correctly?” asked Bavarian police spokesman Ulrich Poepsel.

Grieves-Cook and many hotel managers say they are doing all they can to discourage the practice of older women picking up local boys, arguing it is far from the type of tourism they want to encourage in the east African nation.

“The head of a local hoteliers’ association told me they have begun taking measures — like refusing guests who want to change from a single to a double room,” Grieves-Cook said.

“It’s about trying to make those guests feel as uncomfortable as possible … But it’s a fine line. We are 100 percent against anything illegal, such as prostitution. But it’s different with something like this — it’s just unwholesome.”

These same beaches have long been notorious for attracting another type of sex tourists — those who abuse children.

As many as 15,000 girls in four coastal districts — about a third of all 12-18 year-olds girls there — are involved in casual sex for cash, a joint study by Kenya’s government and U.N. children’s charity UNICEF reported late last year.

Up to 3,000 more girls and boys are in full-time sex work, it said, some paid for the “most horrific and abnormal acts.”

“PREYING ON POVERTY?”

Emerging alongside this black market trade — and obvious in the bars and on the sand once the sun goes down — are thousands of elderly white women hoping for romantic, and legal, encounters with much younger Kenyan men.

They go dining at fine restaurants, then dancing, and back to expensive hotel rooms overlooking the coast.

“One type of sex tourist attracted the other,” said one manager at a shorefront bar on Mombasa’s Bamburi beach.

“Old white guys have always come for the younger girls and boys, preying on their poverty … But these old women followed … they never push the legal age limits, they seem happy just doing what is sneered at in their countries.”

Experts say some thrive on the social status and financial power that comes from taking much poorer, younger lovers.

“This is what is sold to tourists by tourism companies — a kind of return to a colonial past, where white women are served, serviced, and pampered by black minions,” said Nottinghan University’s Davidson.

“LIVE LIKE THE RICH”

Many of the visitors are on the lookout for men like Joseph.

Flashing a dazzling smile and built like an Olympic basketball star, the 22-year-old said he has slept with more than 100 white women, most of them 30 years his senior.

“When I go into the clubs, those are the only women I look for now,” he told Reuters. “I get to live like the rich mzungus (white people) who come here from rich countries, staying in the best hotels and just having my fun.”

At one club, a group of about 25 dancing men — most of them Joseph look-alikes — edge closer and closer to a crowd of more than a dozen white women, all in their autumn years.

“It’s not love, obviously. I didn’t come here looking for a husband,” Bethan said over a pounding beat from the speakers.

Investigators are awaiting DNA test results but said Monday they are “fairly confident” that the body a fisherman found in a plastic box Oct. 29 is that of Riley Ann Sawyers. Her mother, Kimberly Dawn Trenor, and stepfather, Royce Clyde Zeigler II, were arrested early Saturday and are in custody on charges of hurting the girl.

“It was a few weeks ago I held up this little shoe and asked, ‘Who is Baby Grace? Who does this belong to?’” sheriff’s Maj. Ray Tuttoilmondo said at a news conference. “We’re now fairly confident we know the answer to that.”

Zeigler attempted suicide last week and wrote a note saying, “My wife is innocent of the sins that I committed,” according to the court documents, which were filed Saturday and first reported Monday by Houston television station KTRK.

An autopsy revealed that Riley suffered three skull fractures, but the cause of death has not been determined.

In a statement to police included in the affidavit, Trenor, 19, said she and Zeigler, 24, killed Riley July 24.

The girl was beaten with leather belts, had her head held underwater in a bathtub and then was thrown across a room, her head slamming into a tile floor, Trenor said in the document. She said they kept the body in a storage shed for one to two months before they put it in a plastic bin and dumped it into Galveston Bay.

Trenor said in the document that after her daughter was killed, Zeigler had her forge a document that the Ohio Department of Children’s Services had taken Riley away because of allegations of sexual abuse.

Tuttoilmondo said Trenor had told relatives that someone claiming to be a social worker from Ohio, where Riley’s father lives, took the girl in July.

Trenor’s attorney, Tom Stickler, said she has cooperated with authorities. He declined to comment about her statement to investigators.

“But from what she said, there is no doubt that the girl found is Riley Sawyers,” Stickler said.

Trenor and Zeigler were charged with injury to a child and tampering with evidence, Tuttoilmondo said. Bail was set at $350,000 each. The couple’s next court appearance was expected to be scheduled on Tuesday.

Wendell Odom, Zeigler’s attorney, declined to comment on the case except to say Zeigler grew up in Spring, about 75 miles north of Galveston, and works as an instrument technician in the oil industry.

Trenor and Zeigler met a couple of years ago playing an online game, World of Warcraft, and she moved with her daughter from suburban Cleveland to Spring in June, Stickler said.

Riley’s paternal grandmother, Sheryl Sawyers, hadn’t seen her granddaughter in months when she saw a police sketch of “Baby Grace.” Thinking it might be Riley, she called authorities in Texas.

In Mentor, Ohio, on Monday, Sawyers wiped away tears at a news conference and held up the Elmo doll she had already bought Riley for Christmas.

“It’s hard to think that I’ll never see her again,” she said.

The Sawyers family’s attorney, Laura DePledge, said they take comfort in knowing that the girl is “resting peacefully and is no longer subject to abuse.”

DePledge said Trenor and Sawyers’ son, Robert Sawyers, also of Mentor, had been high school sweethearts. Sheryl Sawyers said she has not seen Riley since the girl and Trenor moved to Texas.

Robert Sawyers, who works in an auto-parts store, was never married to Trenor but lived with her and their daughter in his parents’ home for about two years. He and Trenor split up after March 31, when he was charged with domestic violence against her.

DePledge said there was insufficient evidence to support the charge, which was reduced to disorderly conduct. Robert Sawyers is now married and has a 3-month-old son.

Riley “had a very big imagination for such a little girl,” he said of his daughter. “She could play with anything and have fun with it.”

Tuttoilmondo said investigators became emotionally involved in determining the little girl’s identity.

“Any way you look at it, we carry a piece of her with us and will always carry a little piece of her with us,” he said. “She’s still our little girl.”

STOCKHOLM, Sweden – A group of Swedish women is making waves by taking their tops off at public swimming pools in a protest against what they call gender-biased rules on swim wear.

About 40 women have joined the network and staged topless protests in at least three cities, said Sanna Ferm, 22, one of the founders of the group called Bara Brost, or Bare Breasts.

“The purpose of the campaign is to start a debate about why women’s bodies are sexualized,” Ferm said Wednesday.

She said the fact that men can be bare-chested in public swimming pools but not women is “a concrete example of how women have fewer rights than men.”

Reactions from other swimmers have ranged from support and encouragement to anger and even indifference, she said.

The network was formed after two women who were swimming topless in a public swimming pool in Uppsala, north of Stockholm, were asked to cover up or leave.

Women can sunbathe topless in the summertime at beaches around Sweden, which is known for its relaxed attitude toward nudity, but they are required to wear tops at public swimming pools.

Inger Groteblad, a manager at the swimming facility in Uppsala, said it was a matter of security.

“We want to make sure that girls don’t get subjected to sexual harassment,” she was quoted as saying by tabloid Aftonbladet.

The women have filed a complaint against the facility to Sweden’s Equal Opportunities Ombudsman.

MOSCOW (Reuters) – At least 30 members of a Russian doomsday cult have barricaded themselves in a remote cave to await the end of the world and are threatening to commit suicide if police intervene, officials and media said on Thursday.

“They have covered the entrance and refuse to come out and are threatening to blow themselves up,” an official in the local prosecutor’s office told Reuters by telephone. “They threaten to detonate a gas tank and blow themselves up.”

The cult members, who include 29 adults and four children, are hidden inside a snow-covered hillside in the Penza region of central Russia. A Penza police spokeswoman said they had moved into the dug-out on November 7.

“No one wants to take on the responsibility of provoking them … because our information is that there are children among them,” said the official.

They are thought to have taken food and fuel supplies in with them and Russian television pictures from the scene showed smoke or steam coming out of a hole in the snow-covered ravine where it was built.

A police patrol was guarding the area to prevent anyone provoking them.

“They are simple Christians,” a local priest, Father Georgy, told NTV television station. “They say: ‘The church is doing a bad job, the end of the world is coming soon and we are all saving ourselves’.”

Media reports said the cult members believed the world would end sometime in May next year. Police expected them to emerge when their supplies ran out.

After decades of state-enforced atheism under Soviet rule, many Russians and other ex-Soviet nationals have come under the influence of homegrown and foreign sects.

Many Russians have refused new passports and taxpayers’ personal identification numbers, saying the figures contained “satanic” combinations of numbers.

Izvestia newspaper said the leader of the cult, Pyotr Kuznetsov, had been detained by police. It said he was a 43-year-old who had been diagnosed with schizophrenia and that in the last few months he had been sleeping in a coffin.

Police took Kuznetsov to the cave to persuade his followers to come out but without success, said the newspaper.

White girl commits suicide over MySpace hoax, parents demands justice

This is a reminder that even without any minorities around, whites will find ways to torture and consume one another.

The parents of a 13-year-old Missouri girl who hanged herself after a failed MySpace romance — later uncovered as a hoax — say they have yet to receive an apology from the family they blame for their daughter’s death.

“They’ve absolutely offered no apologies,” Ron Meier told TODAY co-host Matt Lauer on Monday. “They sent us a letter in the mail, basically saying that they might feel a little bit of responsibility, but they don’t feel no guilt or remorse or anything for what they did.”

Rather, said Tina Meier, the people are upset with her for going public with their story. Last week, while shopping, she ran into the woman who invented the hoax, Tina Meier said.

“She asked me to stop doing all of this,” she told Lauer. “I told her that we would not stop, that we were going to continue for justice for Megan because we knew what they did.”

The Meiers’ daughter, Megan, hanged herself Oct. 16, 2006.

The Meiers have not named the people because they do not want to identify their teenage daughter, who had once been a friend of Megan’s.

After the two girls had a falling out, the mother invented a 16-year-old boy, “Josh Evans,” created a MySpace account for him, and made Megan believe he was new in town and thought she was cool.

‘Oh, Mom, you don’t understand’
Megan, a girl who had battled attention deficit disorder, depression and a weight problem for much of her young life, believed him, despite her mother’s warnings to be cautious.

“That was always the talk,” Tina Meier told Lauer, repeating the conversations she had with her daughter: “‘Megan, c’mon, we don’t even know this person. Let’s not get too excited.’ She’d say, ‘Oh, Mom, you don’t understand.’ So I did talk to her daily about that. But children at this age, they don’t think that.”

And then the boy turned on Megan, leading a campaign of vilification and online name-calling that ended when Megan took her own life.

For a year, the Meiers kept quiet at the request of both the FBI and local law enforcement officials while they investigated the incident.

Ultimately, investigators told the Meiers that while the hoax was cruel, it was not criminal.

‘Continue to monitor your children’
The case remains open, though, and the Meiers continue to hope that criminal charges can be filed under a federal law passed in January 2006 that prohibits online harassment.

“We are still continuing on with the fight on the criminal and the civil side,” said Ron Meier.

The family’s story is, Tina Meier told Lauer, a cautionary tale about the trouble that lies in wait for kids on the Internet, a tale made more painful because they had monitored their daughter’s Internet use closely and had talked to her about “Josh” and the events that ended so tragically.

“It was monitored highly,” Tina Meier said of her daughter’s MySpace account. “We had the password. She couldn’t sign on without us. We had to be in the room” when she was online.

They have not filed a civil suit against the people who invented Josh, but are not ruling that out.

And they also want to warn other parents and children to beware of people online who claim to be their friends.

“Continue to monitor your children,” Tina Meier told Lauer. “Take an extra step. Ask the question. Look at their computers, know what they’re doing. To kids, don’t trust anybody online that you do not know is your true friend.”

Tina Meier has said that she doesn’t think anyone involved intended for her daughter to kill herself.

”But when adults are involved and continue to screw with a 13-year-old, with or without mental problems, it is absolutely vile,” she told the Suburban Journals of Greater St. Louis, which first reported on the case.

Tina Meier said law enforcement officials told her the case did not fit into any law. But sheriff’s officials have not closed the case and pledged to consider new evidence if it emerges.

Megan Meier was described as a “bubbly, goofy” girl who loved spending time with her friends, watching movies and fishing with her dad.

Megan had been on medication, but had been upbeat before her death, her mother said, after striking up a relationship on MySpace with Josh Evans about six weeks before her death.

Josh told her he was born in Florida and had recently moved to the nearby community of O’Fallon. He said he was home-schooled, and didn’t yet have a phone number in the area to give her.

Megan’s parents said she received a message from him on Oct. 15 of last year, essentially saying he didn’t want to be her friend anymore, that he had heard she wasn’t nice to her friends.

Megan seemed upset
The next day, as Megan’s mother headed out the door to take another daughter to the orthodontist, she knew Megan was upset about Internet messages. She asked Megan to log off. Users on MySpace must be at least 14, though Megan was not when she opened her account. A MySpace spokeswoman did not return calls seeking comment.

Someone using Josh’s account was sending cruel messages. Then, Megan called her mother, saying electronic bulletins were being posted about her, saying things like “Megan Meier is a slut. Megan Meier is fat.”

Megan’s mother, who monitored her daughter’s online communications, returned home and said she was shocked at the vulgar language her own daughter was sending. She told her daughter how upset she was about it.

Megan ran upstairs, and her father, Ron, tried to tell her everything would be fine. About 20 minutes later, she was found in her bedroom. She died the next day.

Her father said he found a message the next day from Josh, which he said law enforcement authorities have not been able to retrieve. It told the girl she was a bad person and the world would be better without her, he has said.

Another parent, who learned of the MySpace account from her own daughter, who had access to the Josh profile, told Megan’s parents about the hoax in a counselor’s office about six weeks after Megan died. That’s when they learned Josh was imaginary, they said.

Creator of fake account not charged
The woman who created the fake profile has not been charged with a crime. She allegedly told the St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department she created Josh’s profile because she wanted to gain Megan’s confidence to learn what Megan was saying about her own child online.

The mother from down the street told police that she, her daughter and another person all typed and monitored the communication between the fictitious boy and Megan.

A person who answered the door at the family’s house told an Associated Press reporter on Friday afternoon that they had been advised not to comment.

Megan’s parents had been storing a foosball table for the family that created the MySpace character. Six weeks after Megan’s death, they learned the other family had created the profile and responded by destroying the foosball table, dumping it on the neighbors’ driveway and encouraging them to move away.

Megan’s parents are now separated and plan to divorce.

Aldermen in Dardenne Prairie, a community of about 7,000 residents about 35 miles from St. Louis, have proposed a new ordinance related to child endangerment and Internet harassment. It could come before city leaders on Wednesday.

“Is this enough?” Mayor Pam Fogarty said Friday. “No, not by any stretch of the imagination, but it’s something, and you have to start somewhere.”

 

 

 

 

 

Bike sex man placed on probation

Robert Stewart, 51, admitted a sexually aggravated breach of the peace by conducting himself in a disorderly manner and simulating sex.

Sheriff Colin Miller also placed Stewart on the Sex Offenders Register for three years.

Mr Stewart was caught in the act with his bicycle by cleaners in his bedroom at the Aberley House Hostel in Ayr.

Gail Davidson, prosecuting, told Ayr Sheriff Court: “They knocked on the door several times and there was no reply.

“They used a master key to unlock the door and they then observed the accused wearing only a white t-shirt, naked from the waist down.

“The accused was holding the bike and moving his hips back and forth as if to simulate sex.”

Both cleaners, who were “extremely shocked”, told the hostel manager who called police.

Sheriff Colin Miller told Stewart: “In almost four decades in the law I thought I had come across every perversion known to mankind, but this is a new one on me. I have never heard of a ‘cycle-sexualist’.”

Stewart had denied the offence, claiming it was caused by a misunderstanding after he had too much to drink.

The bachelor had been living in the hostel since October 2006 after moving from his council house in Girvan.

He now lives in Ayr.

Boy, 15, gets 60 years for StL County sex attack of girl, 6

CLAYTON — A judge sentenced to 60 years in prison this morning a teenager who had pleaded guilty of kidnapping, beating and sexually assaulting a neighbor in Spanish Lake on Nov. 11, 2005, when he was 13 and she was 6.

St. Louis County Circuit Judge Melvyn W. Wiesman imposed the sentence on Sherman Burnett Jr., now 15 and the youngest inmate ever housed in the county jail.

In imposing the lengthy sentence – Burnett will be ineligible for parole until at least the year 2056, when he is 64 – Wiesman rejected confining Burnett in a juvenile offender program in Montgomery City, Mo., where Burnett could have gotten a chance at probation as early as age 17.

Testimony this morning disclosed that Burnett had blamed, in part, the 6-year-old for his own misfortune and had denied any sexual assaults in a recent interview with a state employee, even though he had pleaded guilty on Aug. 10 of sodomy and attempted rape, along with child kidnapping and assault.

Brent Buerck is a senior program administrator for the Missouri Division of Youth Services. He testified that he interviewed Burnett to see if the teen would be eligible for a dual jurisdiction juvenile program of his agency and the Department of Corrections.

Under questioning by prosecutor Rob Livergood, Buerck said he was told by Burnett that the incident was caused because the victim had thrown a rock at him, and Burnett had denied he tried to rape her. Buerck confirmed that there was no evidence in any of the records or police reports he saw to substantiate Burnett’s new claims or to rebut the victim’s statements about the attack on Nov. 11, 2005.

Buerck said, however, that it was not unusual for a teenager to minimize his crimes, and Burnett had qualified for the program. Buerck added under Livergood’s questioning that Burnett had told him: “he beat her up severely so she wouldn’t remember anything.”

Under the juvenile offender program sought by defense attorney Nellie Ribaudo, Burnett would get counseling, sex offender treatment and education that he couldn’t get in prison. He would have hearings when he turned 17 to see if he should continue in the program and again at  21. In that hearing, Buerck said, a judge would decide if Burnett was eligible for probation or would be turned over to the prison system for the balance of his sentence.

Wiesman rejected juvenile custody, saying Burnett was an inappropriate candidate “in light of the severity of the assault and what appears to be a threat to the community.”

The judge then sentenced Burnett to 20 years in prison each on counts of child kidnapping and assault; and 10 years each on charges of sodomy and atttempted rape. The sentences are to be served consecutively and Burnett will be ineligible for parole until he serves 85 percent or 51 years.

Burnett showed no emotion when Wiesman pronounced sentence. Seven members of his family appeared stunned. Also in court this morning were the victim and her mother. They made no oral statement.

From her hospital bed at St. Louis Children’s Hospital two days after the assault, the victim picked out Burnett from a school yearbook picture. She had half an ear torn off, a lascerated liver, a skull fracture and bruises from the top of her head to her thighs.

She told police she couldn’t walk after the attack. She crawled through a hole in a fence near railroad tracks but could go no further and, as night descended in woods near her house, she tried to cover herself with leaves. A police officer found her the next morning after a massive neighborhood search.

DALLAS – A 23-year-old college student who was told by a Southwest Airlines employee that her outfit was too revealing to fly is wearing even less on Playboy’s Web site.

Kyla Ebbert appears in a series of pictures — some in lingerie, some nude — under the heading, “Legs in the Air.”

“They’re very tastefully done,” Ebbert told The Associated Press on Thursday. “I don’t see anything wrong with the female body.”

Playboy contacted Ebbert’s attorney to pitch the idea of posing. After “a little bit of talking” to convince her mother, Ebbert agreed. She said her boyfriend supported her decision, but “the most hesitant one was my dad.”

On its Web site, Playboy says Ebbert “was too sexy for Southwest Airlines, but she’s perfect for Playboy.”

Ebbert said she was paid “less than six figures” to pose, but wouldn’t give the specific amount.

A Southwest Airlines Co. employee pulled Ebbert off a flight this summer and forced her to adjust her outfit of a tank top, sweater and miniskirt before getting back on the plane.

Ebbert ripped the airline in appearances on NBC’s “The Today Show” and “The Dr. Phil Show,” during which she wore the outfit. Southwest officials said they don’t have a dress code but don’t want customers’ attire to offend other passengers.

Ebbert said she was offended that Southwest tried to turn the dustup to its advantage by promoting a fare sale in honor of miniskirts. Southwest apologized to Ebbert, but she said she found the double-entendre-laced message unacceptable.

“They used my name in an ad campaign without asking permission,” she said. “I thought I’d been slapped in the face.”

Told of Ebbert’s spread on the Playboy Web site, Southwest spokeswoman Beth Harbin said, “We wish her all the best.”

Ebbert worked at a Hooters in San Diego but said wants to become an attorney, and doesn’t think posing nude should get in the way of her professional aspirations.

“This was beautiful and classy. I don’t see why it would affect a professional position,” she said. “I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

BERLIN (Reuters) – A convicted pedophile sentenced to do community service in a German kindergarten will return to court next week to face charges of abusing two children there, a regional prosecutor’s office said Thursday.

The man was allowed to work as a janitor at the Evangelical Kindergarten St Petri in Melle, near the northern city of Osnabrueck, because a court worker missed three prior pedophilia convictions on his record, said Alexander Retemeyer, spokesman for the Osnabrueck prosecutor’s office.

The man, identified only as A.B., had been sentenced to 720 hours of community service earlier this year for working on the sly while collecting welfare payments.

“The colleague didn’t pay attention and didn’t see he had a sexual conviction, so she allowed him to serve in a kindergarten,” Retemeyer said. “She didn’t read the file.”

The prior convictions date from 1988-1990, when the man was living in the former East Germany, Retemeyer said. Though the convictions are listed in the man’s criminal record, the details are unclear because prosecutors cannot access his East German police file.

Police arrested the man in April after the head of the kindergarten reported he had fondled himself in front of two children.

OSLO (Reuters) – Norway’s largest erotic chain store was forced to change the labeling on products such as penis pasta, candy cuffs and chocolate body painting, to comply with Norwegian food regulations.

The Norwegian food safety authority, whose goal it is to make sure consumers have healthy and safe food, conducted a surprise inspection at one of the chain’s stores and found that several products violated food labeling regulations, top-selling tabloid VG reported on Tuesday.

“We were a bit surprised to have the food safety authority on inspection. Food is not really our core product,” Kjersti Antonsen, a sexual adviser in the store, told VG.

Products containing food must be marked with a Norwegian label, listing all ingredients.

“We have panties, bras, handcuffs and suspender belts made out of candy,” Antonsen said, adding that the store will comply with the regulations and label all its food products.

The food safety authority also said the store also breached rules of importing erotic candy, which should be reported to authorities at least 24 hours before arrival.

BAGHDAD (AP) An American soldier has been acquitted of murder charges in the deaths of three Iraqis but was convicted of lesser charges, the U.S. military said Sunday.

Army Staff Sgt. Michael Hensley of Candler, N.C., had been charged with premeditated murder in the three deaths, which occurred April 14, April 27 and May 11 during operations south of Baghdad, the military said in a statement.

Hensley, a sniper and the scout platoon sergeant for 1st Battalion, 501st Airborne, was acquitted of those charges by a military court last Thursday, the U.S. statement said.

But he was convicted of planting evidence by placing a rifle with the body of an Iraqi man who died during the May 11 mission and of showing disrespect to a superior commissioned officer, the statement added.

Hensley was sentenced to 135 days confinement, reduced in rank to sergeant and received a letter of reprimand, the military said.

In September, a military panel acquitted U.S. Army Spc. Jorge G. Sandoval on charges he killed two unarmed Iraqis during the April and May missions, but convicted him of planting evidence on one of the men.

Another soldier from the same unit, Sgt. Evan Vela of St. Anthony, Idaho, also faces murder charges in the May shooting and will be tried separately.

2 White teens charged in dismemberment

DETROIT – Two thrill-seeking teenagers stabbed an adult acquaintance, took a blowtorch to his corpse and threw his severed head into a river, prosecutors said Monday as they charged the pair.

Canton High School senior Jean Pierre Orlewicz, 17, and Alexander James Letkemann, 18, ambushed 26-year-old Daniel Sorenson last Wednesday in a garage owned by Orlewicz’s grandfather, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy said. A tarp had been spread on the floor, she said.

“They lured him in the garage where they prepared a space to kill him,” Worthy said at a news conference.

Sorenson, who had worked as a bouncer, was stabbed multiple times in the back, his head was sawed off and his body was wrapped in the tarp, authorities said. Orlewicz and Letkemann burned his hands and feet with a blowtorch, possibly in an effort to conceal his identity, Worthy said.

“They made plans on how they were to clean up the blood,” Worthy said. “They made plans on how they were going to dispose of the body.”

The teens loaded Sorenson’s torso in a pickup truck, dumped it in a cul-de-sac and set it on fire using gasoline. A utility crew found it Thursday morning, police said.

Sorenson’s head was found Saturday in the Rouge River.

Sorenson’s history as a registered sex offender in Michigan and Illinois and the fact that he may have owed his attackers a small amount of money appear to have had nothing to do with his death, Worthy said.

“We’ve all seen a lot. We’ve seen it all,” Worthy said of the case’s investigators. “Still, a crime like this surprises us all.

“Anytime anyone kills just because they want to, and that’s what the evidence seems to suggest here, is bone-chilling. Why anyone would want to do that, especially being 17 years old, it makes us think and ask a lot of questions about our society.”

Worthy did not immediately respond to a message seeking more information, including whether the defendants had lawyers.

Orlewicz, of Plymouth, and Letkemann, of Westland, were arraigned Monday in a Romulus courtroom on one count each of first-degree premeditated murder, felony murder and mutilation of a corpse. The murder charges carry mandatory sentences of life in prison. Mutilating a corpse carries a maximum sentence of 10 years.

The investigation is continuing and other people may have been involved, Worthy said.

60 year old White flasher strips off in court

BERLIN (Reuters) – A German flasher stunned lawyers during his appeal hearing on a flashing conviction by stripping off in court, authorities said Thursday.

“The court withdrew for deliberations and during the adjournment the man removed his clothes again,” said a spokesman for the court in the western city of Duisburg. “It appears he sees it as art, and views himself as a living work of art.”

The 60-year-old was in court to appeal against his conviction for running onto the pitch naked during a girl’s soccer match and striking a range of “body builder poses,” the spokesman said.

State prosecutors filed fresh charges of indecent behavior against the man after the court incident.

Culprit in Fla. deputy’s shooting caught

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – An elderly sheriff’s deputy was fatally shot as he transported a convicted robber to court Wednesday, and authorities captured the convict after a manhunt and said he was found with the deputy’s gun.

Broward County Sheriff Al Lamberti said Michael Mazza — already serving two life sentences for armed robbery — may have had accomplices who ambushed 76-year-old Paul Rein as he drove Mazza to court for his trial on a separate robbery.

Mazza, 40, was arrested at a Hollywood pawn shop shortly after noon, about four hours after Rein was found shot and bleeding in a parking lot, Lamberti said.

The two were alone but separated by a partition in a medical van, and Mazza was wearing handcuffs, authorities said.

Mazza, dressed in a suit and tie for court, was being transported in the medical van because he had complained of a bad back. Lamberti said it was a routine transport, done “hundreds of times a day.”

The van was later found empty 20 miles away in a Fort Lauderdale restaurant parking lot.

Traffic backed up for miles and schools were placed on lockdown as authorities launched a manhunt after the shooting. Investigators still were trying to figure out his steps, but a man who refused to give his last name said he met Mazza at another pawn shop, and Mazza asked him for a ride.

Mazza wasn’t wearing handcuffs, said his name was Tony and said he didn’t care where they went, the man said.

“He said he just had an argument with his wife, and he left from up state,” said the man, who gave his name only as Mark. “He was sitting down at a store, all exhausted and everything … and his leg was messed up, hurting.”

They went to a soup kitchen and got something to eat, the man said, and then to the Hollywood pawn shop. Mazza stayed in the car, and when the man went inside, he saw Mazza’s picture on television and realized his passenger was a fugitive.

“I freaked out,” he said.

He and the manager called 911, and police arrived.

Mazza was on trial in connection with a Feb. 28 bank robbery. After robbing a Bank of America in Coral Springs, Mazza led police on a short chase before he crashed his car into another vehicle, injuring himself and two others, authorities said.

Mazza’s attorney, Maurice Graham, requested a mistrial Wednesday morning in court, where he and prosecutors listened to radio updates about the search for Mazza. Graham did not immediately return a phone message or e-mail from The Associated Press.

A person who identified herself as a relative of Rein’s declined to comment when reached at his home. Authorities said he spoke to his wife by phone 10 minutes before he was shot.

Rein’s ex-wife, Mollie Meyers, described him as a 5-foot 7-inch “little strong guy” who left the U.S. Postal Service at age 55 to begin a second career in the sheriff’s department.

She said she and Rein split up seven years to the day he was killed, and both remarried after being wed for 49 years. They had two grown sons, one of whom recently retired as a police officer in Davie.

“It hasn’t sunk in yet,” Meyers, 75, said of Rein’s death. “I couldn’t tell you how I feel.”

Meyers said she rarely worried about Rein’s safety because his job involved dealing with inmates, not working the streets. However, she said her ex-husband should not have been alone with Mazza, whom she called a “terrible person.”

“There should have been another deputy with him,” Meyers said.

Rein is the fourth South Florida law enforcement officer and the third Broward deputy shot in the last three months.

Deputy Maury Hernandez was shot in the head Aug. 6 during a traffic stop. He was released from the hospital Oct. 25. Sergeant Chris Reyka, 51, was fatally shot as he was looking for stolen vehicles behind a drug store Aug. 10. His killer is still being sought.

In September, Miami-Dade County police officer Jose Somohano was fatally shot by a gunman who ambushed him and three other officers. The suspect was killed by officers hours later in Broward.

8 dead in Finland school shooting

TUUSULA, Finland – An 18-year-old gunman killed eight people at a high school in southern Finland on Wednesday, then shot himself but survived, police said.

They said the high school’s principal was among the dead.

Police said the gunman, who used a .22-caliber pistol, was taken to hospital with serious wounds and the situation was “under control” after officers surrounded Jokela High School in Tuusula, some 30 miles north of the capital, Helsinki.

It was the first known school shooting in Finland, where gun ownership is fairly common by European standards, but shootings are rare.

Medical response leader Eero Hirvensalo told The Associated Press that one person had been “severely injured” while 10 people had minor injuries.

Finnish media reports said the shooter had revealed his plans on the video Web site YouTube.

A posting titled “Jokela High School Massacre” showed a picture of a building by a lake that appears to be the school, along with two photos of a young man holding a handgun. The person who posted the video was identified in the user profile as an 18-year-old man from Finland. The posting was later removed.

The profile contained a text calling for a “revolution against the system.”

Police could not immediately be reached to comment on the video.

Kim Kiuru, a teacher at the school, said the principal had announced over the public address system just before noon that all students should remain in their classrooms.

“I stayed in the corridor to listen to more instructions, having locked my classroom door,” Kiuru told the YLE radio station. “After that I saw the gunman running with what appeared to be a small-caliber handgun in his hand through the doors toward me, after which I escaped to the corridor downstairs and ran in the opposite direction.”

Kiuru said he saw a woman’s body as he fled the building.

“Then my pupils shouted at me out of the windows to ask what they should do and I told them to jump out of the windows … and all my pupils were saved,” Kiuru said.

More than 400 students, from 12 to 18, were enrolled at Jokela, a local official said.

Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen described the situation as “extremely tragic” and said the government would hold an emergency meeting.

No jail time for White rapists

Eight Victorian teenage boys who took part in the filming of a sexual assault on a 17-year-old girl have avoided youth detention.

The girl was filmed performing oral sex on two boys, had her hair set alight, was spat at and urinated on during the incident at a park at Werribee, in Melbourne’s outer-west, in June last year.

Today at a Children’s Court, a judge told the boys they treated the victim in a cruel and callous manner and described their behaviour as cowardly and brutal.

“It was a sustained attack by a pack of young men upon a vulnerable young woman,” he said.

He ordered all the boys – aged between 15 and 17 at the time of offending – to participate in a rehabilitation program for male adolescents about positive sexuality.

All except one of the boys had convictions recorded against them. The judge placed six of the boys on youth supervision orders for between 12 and 18 months and two of the boys were placed on probation for 12 months.

He said that if it was not for their guilty pleas and willingness to participate in rehabilitation they would have been at “significant risk” of serving time in youth detention.

Each of the boys had previously pleaded guilty to procuring sexual penetration by intimidation, making child pornography and assault.

The judge said he also took into account they had no prior convictions and their youth.

A DVD of the attack – which was titled `Cememt the Movie’ – was distributed throughout the community, the court heard.

The 16-year-old who filmed the DVD and the two youths – both 17 – who were involved in the sexual assault each received 18-month youth supervision orders and had convictions recorded against them.

A 16-year-old boy was the only youth to avoid a conviction and was placed on a 12-month probation order after the judge found he did not directly engage in the sexual or physical assaults and had good insight into his offending.

The judge said the victim had organised to meet two of the boys at a Werribee train station on the day of the attack and had no idea a group of at least 11 boys was meeting her there.

He said the girl sustained significant emotional and psychological trauma from the incident and this was compounded by the filming and distribution of the DVD.

The judge said placing the boys in a rehabilitation program was not the “easy option”.

He said the program would involve the boys and their families engaging in individually tailored treatment over about nine months.

The program was very successful in protecting the community, changing sexual offenders’ attitudes and behaviour and ensuring they did not reoffend, he said.

The maximum penalty for the offences is three years in youth detention.

No parties involved in a Children’s Court hearing can be identified.

An investigation into a Europe-wide child pornography network has led to 92 arrests across eight countries, prosecutors say.

The network made videos of children being abused and sold them to 2,500 customers in 19 countries, says the European police force, Europol.

The films were mainly produced in Ukraine, Belgium and the Netherlands, and most of the victims were Ukrainian.

More than 40 of the arrests were made in Britain, European prosecutors say.

Police have seized thousands of computers, videos and photographs in their investigation – code named Operation Koala.

The investigation began in July 2006, when police in Australia found a video on the internet showing an adult abusing two young girls.

The girls were identified by police in Belgium and the offender, their father, was arrested.

He in turn led investigators to the producer of the video, an Italian man who operated in Belgium and the Netherlands but also owned a studio in Ukraine.

‘Tailor made’

The names of 2,500 customers were recovered from his computer.

An analyst for Europol, Menno Hagemeijer, said the customers came from many different countries and all walks of life.

“We have identified schoolteachers, swimming instructors, lawyers, IT specialists,” he said.

Mr Hagemeijer said the videos had been “tailor made”, with customers ordering specific acts to be performed by specific children.

Twenty-three children aged between nine and 16 who were shown being abused have been identified. Twenty-one are from Ukraine and two from Belgium.

European prosecutors have stressed that the operation is continuing and there are likely to be further arrests.

SYDNEY (Reuters) – An Australian woman who stole a pet goat and was involved in slaughtering it in a mock Satanic ritual in a church, was ordered by a court on Monday to apologise to the church and the dead goat’s owners.

Tracey Arnold, 26, was drinking with friends at a Friday the 13th party in 2006 when she decided to steal the pet goat named “Maddie” from the front garden of a house in the northern city of Brisbane, local media reported from the court.

The partygoers then broke into a local church, dragging the goat onto a raised platform and killed it in a mock Satanic ritual, reported Brisbane’s Courier Mail newspaper.

The goat’s head was later found by police in the freezer of Arnold’s home, along with a camera containing photos of members of the group with the head.

Arnold’s lawyer told the Brisbane Magistrates Court that his client did not have a “macabre disposition” but that when she drank alcohol she made poor decisions.

Magistrate John Costello ordered Arnold to apologise in person to the goat’s owners and the Bellbowrie Community Church and undergo psychiatric treatment.

Arnold was also ordered to pay A$70 (US$64) in compensation to the goat’s owners and $1,535 for damage caused to the church.

LEXINGTON, Neb. – A teacher accused of running away with a 13-year-old student planned a romantic life with him in his native Mexico, but she was near broke when they were captured there, authorities said Saturday.

Their border crossing during a week on the lam may mean the teen, an illegal immigrant, will not be able to come back to the rural Nebraska town where he was an eighth-grader.

The boy’s relatives told police he had called home asking for money, leading investigators to a shopping mall in the border city of Mexicali on Friday. Kelsey Peterson, 25, and Fernando Rodriguez, 13, were taken into custody without incident in the parking lot.

Peterson, a sixth-grade math teacher and basketball coach at Lexington Middle School, fled with the boy after police began investigating whether the pair had an intimate relationship, authorities said. Court documents said the boy was last seen Oct. 26.

An international hunt was under way after Peterson’s car was spotted crossing into Mexico on Tuesday.

“They didn’t have a very well-defined plan, it was basically to continue driving into Mexico to hide,” said Alfredo Arenas, the Baja California state police official who detained Peterson. “This was a mutual agreement to flee after the story came out that they were having sex.”

The Associated Press generally does not identify people who may be victims of sex crimes, but the boy’s name had been widely publicized as police searched for him.

Peterson was turned over to the FBI early Saturday. The boy was turned over to relatives in Mexicali because he was an illegal immigrant in the United States and was not allowed to return, Arenas said.

Fernando’s uncle, Pedro Raya, said he spoke to the boy Saturday and they agreed he would go to the family’s rural hometown in the southern state of Guanajuato, mainly because of his immigration status.

“He’s OK,” said Raya, 47, of Yuma, Ariz. “I just told him to stay over there in Mexico and the FBI is going to take care of everything.”

Dawson County Attorney Elizabeth Waterman said Saturday she knew about Fernando’s immigration status but did not know how it was going to affect her case against Peterson.

“That’s one of the things we need to evaluate so I really don’t have an answer at this time,” Waterman said. “I don’t know if that information is completely accurate or if that’s subject to change, but we’re dealing with that.”

Peterson is charged with kidnapping, child abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a minor in Nebraska. She’s also faces federal charges of transporting a minor across state lines or a foreign border for sexual activity, U.S. Attorney Joe Stecher said.

Stecher said he didn’t intend to double-prosecute Peterson, and would work with Waterman to decide in which jurisdiction she would face charges.

Court documents showed authorities had recovered several e-mails and letters in which Peterson and the boy professed their affection for one another.

In letters, the boy called Peterson his “Baby Gurl” and said their relationship was “just not about the sex but that it was pretty good,” according to the court documents.

Fernando was an eighth-grader at Lexington Middle School, but district Superintendent Todd Chessmore said Rodriguez had been in Peterson’s 6th-grade math class. He said he placed Peterson on paid administrative leave on Oct. 25.

Peterson’s school-issued laptop contained letters to the student, including one from April saying she loved him, thought he loved her, was “100 percent faithful” to him and would always be faithful, the court documents state.

Laura Rodriguez also said the family believed Peterson gave the boy a cell phone without his family’s knowledge so she could reach him more easily. There was no response to messages left for a cell phone listed to a Kelsey Peterson of Lexington.

 SYDNEY (Reuters) – An Australian man who kidnapped and raped a woman blamed his actions on a spider, local media reported on Thursday.

Philip Spiers pleaded guilty to the kidnap and rape, but told a court that the poison from a funnel-web spider bite had left him with a viral illness which led to his actions.

But a toxicologist told the New South Wales state District Court there was no medical evidence to suggest a spider bite could be responsible for anger and hatred.

Spiers, who kidnapped and raped the woman in 1997, was sentenced on Wednesday to eight years in jail.

HONOLULU – Television bounty hunter Duane “Dog” Chapman apologized Wednesday for repeatedly using a racial slur in a profanity-laced tirade during a private phone conversation with his son that was recorded and posted online.

Chapman, star of A&E’s hit reality series “Dog the Bounty Hunter,” responded after The National Enquirer posted a clip of the conversation in which Chapman uses the N-word in reference to his son’s girlfriend.

A&E officials did not immediately return phone messages seeking comment from The Associated Press. Chapman issued a statement apologizing for the comments.

The recording was first posted online by the Enquirer. It was unclear who recorded the conversation or how the tabloid obtained the 1 1/2-minute clip in which Chapman uses the N-word six times. A woman at the Enquirer said no one would be available to comment after hours.

In the conversation, Chapman urges his son to break up with his girlfriend. He also expresses concern about the girlfriend going public about the TV star’s use of the N-word.

In the clip, Chapman also stated he doesn’t care that his son’s girlfriend is black.

In a statement, the 54-year-old Chapman said he has “utmost respect and aloha for black people who have suffered so much due to racial discrimination and acts of hatred.

“I did not mean to add yet another slap in the face to an entire race of people who have brought so many gifts to this world,” he said. “I am ashamed of myself and I pledge to do whatever I can to repair this damage I have caused.”

Chapman said, “My sincerest, heartfelt apologies go out to every person I have offended for my regrettable use of very inappropriate language. I am deeply disappointed in myself for speaking out of anger to my son and using such a hateful term in a private phone conversation.”

Chapman said the clip was completely taken out of context.

“I was disappointed in his choice of a friend, not due to her race, but her character,” he said. “However, I should have never used that term.”

Chapman said he is meeting with his spiritual adviser, Rev. Tim Storey, who is black, and hopes to meet with other black leaders, “so they can see who I really am and teach me the right thing to do to make things right, again.”

“I know that all of my fans are deeply disappointed in me, as well, as I have tried to be a model for doing the right thing,” he said. “I did not do the right thing this time, and hope you will forgive me.”

The Honolulu-based bounty hunter first grabbed headlines for apprehending serial rapist and Max Factor heir Andrew Luster in Mexico in 2003.
