Walkersville, Maryland — A grandfather, father and son were arrested Sunday night after brawling over a family member’s dog. Move over Larry, Darryl and Darryl – The Shoemakers are in town.

According to Maryland State Police, Troopers were called out to a family member’s home when an argument broke out about the an alleged dog napping.

The victim told police that his father, Michael Shoemaker, 42, and his 17-year-old brother had broken into his home to steal his dog. During to confrontation, Michael Shoemaker reportedly threatened to return later and burn down his son’s home.

Police say while Troopers were sorting out the dispute, 66-year-old Robert Shoemaker arrived at the scene and became disorderly with officers. Grandfather Robert, Father Michael and the unnamed teen brother were all taken into custody.

Robert Shoemaker was charged with disorderly conduct. Michael Shoemaker was arrested for making a threat of arson and the teen was arrested for burglary and theft.

Michael Shoemaker was released on a $10,000 bond. Bond in the other two arrests have not yet been established.

Cincinnati, Ohio – Lonnie Lane, a 30-year-old Ohio man was arrested Thursday for burglary – but not before homeowner Tiffany Friday delivered a little justice of her own.

According to police, Lane was burglarizing a house on Waverly Ave. when homeowner Tiffany Friday returned home to find he and another man inside her home.

Tiffany, who is a single mom, had been burglarized in November and again in December. This time, however, she decided she wasn’t about to be a victim again.

“I was mad. I mean, they had took, taken everything from us. I mean, they took my daughter’s games, my son’s games, they took TV’s, computers,” said Friday.

When the two men ran from the house, Tiffany followed. The chase lead her through her backyard and into the woods behind her house. Knowing the lay of the land, she headed back to her house, jumped into a friend’s car and took off after the suspect along with her friends.

Lane was spotted by Tiffany and her friend’s as he was coming back out of the wood a short distance from her home. It was at that point Tiffany and her friends exited the vehicle and piled on Lane. Police arrived after Tiffany and company delivered a few punches to Lane’s face to keep him subdued.

“I grabbed him by the back of his shirt and hit him in the woods,” said Friday. “I never thought about what they could do to me or anything.”

While Tiffany was able to hold one suspect for authorities, the other suspect reportedly got away with a Playstation and clothing belonging to her children.

Lane was booked on one count of burglary. He is being held in lieu of a $25,000 bond. The other suspect in the burglary remains to be identified.

White bus driver pays kids for sex fantasies

Nashville, Tennessee — Bob Epley, a 56-year-old bus driver supervisor in Nashville was arrested Saturday on charges that he hired children to fulfill his sexual fantasies.

Epley, a Metro Schools employee, was indicted by a Davidson County grand jury on three counts of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of aggravated sexual battery. He is also the third Metro school employee to be arrested for a sex crime within the last month.

Investigators say Epley hired at least three children (9, 14 and 15) to participate in sex acts that occurred multiple times beginning last October.

The alleged sex act involved children placing him in a strangle hold with their legs “in order to create an autoerotic sensation,” according to police.

Investigators say Epley videotaped the encounters at a friend’s Ashland Hills apartment complex in Donelson. The children reportedly live at the same apartment complex.

Epley was booked into the Metro Jail in lieu of a $75,000 bond.

White woman arrested after picking up dog feces naked

Portsmouth, New Hampshire — Susan Bell, a 42-year-old New Hampshire woman was arrested Thursday after streaking in a neighborhood park while collecting dog feces.

Bell, who resides on Manor Drive in Portsmouth, turned herself in to authorities after a month-long investigation led to a warrant for her arrest, according to Portsmouth Police Sgt. Darrin Sargent.

Police say the incident occurred late last month after a neighbor saw Bell picking up dog feces at a Manor Drive courtyard and noticed she was completely naked below the waist. Authorities did not disclose the condition of the witness’ eyesight following the encounter.

Bell was booked into jail on a charge of indecent exposure. She was released without bail.

White man charged in teen’s rape and death

A 64-year-old neighbor was charged today with the murder of a 14-year-old Pueblo West girl who was found half naked in a trash bag Sunday.

Paul Wayne Stark is being held in the Pueblo County jail under a $1 million bond on a charge of first-degree murder.

The body of 14-year-old Ashley Patterson was found in a field 200 yards from her home.

Most of her body was stuffed in a black trash bag, with her calves and feet sticking out, according to an arrest affidavit issued today.

Her arms were bound behind her back with plastic zip ties and a second plastic trash bag covered her head.

She appeared to have been sexually assaulted, but an autopsy is planned for Tuesday to also determine the exact cause of death, authorities said.

Stark had blood on his clothing when he was interviewed by detectives, according to the arrest affidavit.

Other evidence, including surveillance video of the field from a nearby business that showed Stark’s truck there before the body was found, as well as tire tracks that matched his Ford pickup truck, led to authorities to his home.

Inside Stark’s bedroom, investigators found a sneaker and an earring believed to be Ashley’s, as well as blood and hair strands on the sheets.

Ashley’s glasses, the second sneaker and two zip ties similar to the ones she was bound with were found in a trash bin near Stark’s home. The shoes were identified by Ashley’s mother as those the girl was wearing when she left home that afternoon to look for rocks.

Stark’s wife, Mary, told investigators he had contacted authorities three weeks ago to complain that Ashley had been going through mail boxes in the neighborhood.

Mary Stark told investigators that before her husband filed a complaint with the Sheriff’s Department, Ashley told him she would “make it worth his while” not to file a report.

“She felt the comment made by Ashley to Paul was a sexual innuendo,” according to the arrest affidavit.

Paul Stark also accused Ashley and his 12-year-old grandson of looking at pornography on his computer, according to the arrest document.

Ashley was a seventh-grader at Pueblo West Middle School.

White man gives Granny a black eye for accidently stepping on his foot

Golden Gate, Florida — Mark William Adams, a 31-year-old Golden Gate man was arrested Thursday after giving his mother a black eye for accidentally stepping on his foot.

According to Collier County deputies, a dispute erupted between Adams and his 70-year-old mother after she walked by him and accidentally stepped on his foot.

Adam’s, who works as a cab driver and lives with his grandmother, became angry and threw a full soda can at her – striking her in the eye. The injury caused a large black and blue mark around her eye, according to the sheriff’s arrest report.

Adams was booked into the Collier County Jail on a charge of battery on a person 65 years old or older. Bond has not yet been set in the case.

White man jailed for having sex with carwash vacuum hose

Well, that just plain sucks doesn’t it?

Saginaw, Michigan — Jason Leroy Savage, a 29-year-old Michigan man was sentenced Wednesday to 90 days in prison for having sex with a carwash vacuum hose.

According to police, officers were dispatched on Oct. 16 when a nearby resident called to inform them of ’suspicious behavior’ at a carwash in Thomas Township. Investigators say Savage was found attempting to have sex with a vacuum cleaner hose. Savage pleaded no contest to a charge of indecent exposure.

Saginaw County Circuit Court judge, Fred L. Borchard, scolded Savage in court for making Saginaw a national laugh stock for his activity. “I believe you owe the community an apology for what you’ve done,” said Borchard.

Savage will serve out his sentence at the Saginaw County Jail. He was also ordered to submit to random drug testing.

Savage has served time on three prior convictions, including home invasion, bringing contraband into prison and fleeing a police officer.

White man goes on murder spree in nursing home

CARTHAGE, N.C. – A lone gunman burst into a North Carolina nursing home Sunday morning and started “shooting everything,” barging into the rooms of terrified patients, sparing some from his rampage without explanation while killing seven residents and a nurse caring for them.

Authorities said Robert Stewart also wounded three others, including the Carthage police officer who confronted him in a hallway of Pinelake Health and Rehab and stopped the brutal attack. Officials said the massacre could have been bloodier if the officer had not managed to subdue Stewart.

“He acted in nothing short of a heroic way today, and but for his actions, we certainly could have had a worse tragedy,” said Moore County District Attorney Maureen Krueger. “We had an officer, a well-trained officer, who performed his job the way he was supposed to and prevented this from getting even worse than it is now.”

By late Sunday afternoon, Krueger had charged Stewart, 45, of Moore County, with eight counts of first-degree murder and a single charge of felony assault of a law enforcement officer. Authorities offered few other details, allowing only that Stewart was not a patient or an employee at the nursing home and isn’t believed to be related to any of the victims.

Authorities said they would release more information at a news conference Monday morning.

“I don’t know if the emotion entirely has set in,” said Police Chief Chris McKenzie, a Carthage native who said nothing in his nearly 20-year law enforcement career compared to Sunday’s slaughter. “It’s a small community built on faith, and faith will get us through.”

While authorities declined to comment on a possible motive, Stewart’s ex-wife said he had been reaching out recently to family members, telling them he had cancer and was preparing for a long trip and to “go away.” Sue Griffin said she was married to Stewart for 15 years, and while they hadn’t spoken since divorcing in 2001, he had been trying to call her during the past week through her son, mother, sister and grandmother.

Griffin said Stewart had once been a painter. She said she had no idea whether her ex-husband was somehow connected to the nursing home or why he would shoot people there.

“He did have some violent tendencies from time to time,” Griffin said. “I wouldn’t put it past him. I hate to say it, but it is true.”

Authorities said Stewart began his rampage around 10 a.m. at Pinelake Health and Rehab in the North Carolina Sandhills about 60 miles southwest of Raleigh, firing shots inside and outside the home. It ended when 25-year-old Officer Justin Garner traded gunfire with Stewart in a hallway, wounding the suspect.

Garner was wounded in his leg, and police said Stewart wounded two others. One person remained hospitalized Sunday night at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in nearby Pinehurst, and police would only say Stewart was in the custody of the Moore County Sheriff.

Krueger said the victims were Pinelake residents Tessie Garner, 88; Lillian Dunn, 89; Jessie Musser, 88; Bessie Hendrick, 78; John Goldston, 78; Margaret Johnson, 89; Louise Decker, 98; and nurse Jerry Avent, whose age wasn’t immediately available.

The facility was closed after the attack as authorities worked to gather evidence inside and out. The surviving residents — some with Alzheimer’s disease — were taken to an undisclosed location.

Beverly McNeill said her mother, Pinelake resident Ellery Chishole, called moments after the gunman stormed into her room and pointed his “deer gun” at her roommate. “They’re up here shooting, they’re up here shooting,” she frantically told her 14-year-old granddaughter, Tavia, over the phone.

Chishole told her daughter she hid her face in her shirt so she couldn’t see the man or what she expected him to do, McNeill said. He didn’t shoot, but left the room and began shooting down the hallway.

Friends and family of Pinelake residents and employees started to gather not long after the shooting at the First Baptist Church of Carthage. They were frustrated by the lack of immediate news about who had died, said Lea Chandler, a volunteer with the Moore County chapter of the American Red Cross.

Chandler said she saw two women and their husbands get the news that their mother had been killed.

“They were just crying out, ‘Why mama?’” Chandler said. “To see people suffer is hard. To see people suffering, not knowing, trying to find information. It’s a crime scene. They’re not releasing things until people are notified, all next of kin. That’s got to be hard. It really had to be hard.”

Carthage police, Moore County sheriff’s deputies and the State Bureau of Investigation conducted a search Sunday afternoon of the nursing home and its parking lot, where the windows of at least two cars were shattered and towed by authorities. Among the items they found was a camouflaged-colored rifle or shotgun, which was leaning against the side of a Jeep Cherokee.

Howard McMillian, of Lakeview, said he raced to the scene as soon as he heard about the shooting. His 56-year-old sister lives at the nursing home, and McMillian said his brother had gotten a call from officials saying she was unharmed.

“I know she’s real nervous,” McMillian said. “I just want to make sure she’s OK.”

Carthage is a small town of roughly 1,800 people in the North Carolina Sandhills, an area popular among retirees and home to several noted golf courses, including the famed Pinehurst resort and its No. 2 course that regularly hosts the U.S. Open.

Pinelake Health and Rehab was last inspected in May, and the review resulted in an overall five-star — or “much above average” — rating from federal Medicaid officials. A nursing home Web site said the facility opened in 1993 and has 110 beds, including 20 for those with Alzheimer’s disease.

Sunday’s rampage happened just weeks after a man killed 10 people, including his mother and several other relatives, in the worst mass shooting in Alabama’s history on March 10. On March 11, a teen killed 12 people at his former high school in Germany.

Italian ‘Fritzl’ and son arrested

Seems like there’s quite an incest renaissance in Europe these days. Sickening.

Police have arrested a man and his son on suspicion of raping their daughters in the northern Italian city of Turin.

The son was allegedly encouraged to imitate his father, who reportedly kept his daughter captive in a dark room for 25 years, sexually abusing her.

Italian media say the first victim, given the pseudonym “Laura”, is now 34 and is having psychological treatment.

Laura alerted the police, who now believe that the 63-year-old man’s son also raped his own four daughters.

Laura’s abuse is believed to have started when she was nine years old.

Prosecutors say she was locked up in a room without electricity, forced to leave school at the age of 13 and never allowed to leave the house without her father’s supervision.

According to Italian media reports, the case came to light after Laura accused her brother of rape.

She had reportedly fled her father’s house, sought refuge in her brother’s house, only to be allegedly locked up and raped by her brother for two weeks.

Laura says her brother also raped his own four young daughters.

‘Droit de seigneur’

“It seems that in this family there was a sort of ‘droit de seigeneur’ of the father over the daughter,” prosecutor Pietro Fornon said, alluding to the medieval feudal right which gave the lord the right to sleep the first night with the bride of any of his vassals.

Father and son, both street vendors who collect scrap metal for a living, have been arrested and charged with rape, sexual abuse and carrying out obscene acts in public.

Both men have denied any wrongdoing.

Laura was reportedly already known to police after filing a complaint for sexual abuse 16 years ago.

But as the BBC’s David Willey reports from Rome, no action was ever taken because the woman was allegedly forced by her father to pin the blame on an uncle who also denied any wrongdoing.

Unusual case

Investigators say the case is unusual in that most of the other members of the large family of the accused – he has eight sons and two daughters – defend their father and have told police that they worship the ground where he treads.

The younger children have now been taken in charge by the city authorities and are undergoing therapy.

Italian media say the case echoes that of Josef Fritzl, the Austrian man jailed for life on 19 March for having kept his daughter as a sex slave in a cellar for 24 years and fathered her seven children, murdering one of them by neglect.

Italian police announced the arrests on Friday.

Phoenix’s Serial Shooter gets 6 death sentences

What a trailblazer.

PHOENIX – The main suspect in the Phoenix Serial Shooter attacks was sentenced to death Friday for six murders that put the city on edge for nearly two years. Dale Hausner was convicted earlier this month of killing six people and attacking 19 others in random nighttime shootings in 2005 and 2006.

As the jury’s decisions were announced, Hausner was expressionless, keeping his head down as he flipped through papers in front of him. Before being led out of the courtroom, Hausner thanked the judge who presided over his trial.

Hausner’s mother was whisked out of the courtroom through a back door by one of his lawyers. One of the attorneys, Tim Agan, wouldn’t comment on the six death sentences.

Hausner, 36, apologized to the families of the victims on Thursday and said he would take his punishment “like a man” if it helps them heal. He declined the opportunity to call his own witnesses and instructed his attorneys not to ask jurors for leniency on his behalf.

He is scheduled to be sentenced Monday on 74 other convictions.

Prosecutors said Hausner preyed on pedestrians, bicyclists, dogs and horses during a 14-month conspiracy that occasionally included his brother and his former roommate, Sam Dieteman.

The Serial Shooter attacks and an unrelated serial killer case kept police and neighborhood watch groups on high alert in the summer of 2006. Families stayed inside as police searched for the killers. Authorities called meetings that drew hundreds of people.

Police said their big break came when one of Dieteman’s drinking buddies, Ron Horton, called them to say Dieteman had bragged about shooting people.

“They called it ‘RV’ing.’ Random Recreational Violence,” Horton told The Associated Press in a 2006 interview. Horton died last year.

Dieteman pleaded guilty to two of the killings and is awaiting sentencing. He testified against Hausner, saying he and his roommate cruised around late at night looking for strangers to shoot. He could also face the death penalty.

 

Police : White woman has sex with dogs while watching kiddie porn

SARASOTA COUNTY — A woman videotaped herself having sex with two dogs and watching child pornography with a friend, authorities say.

Caroline Willette, 53, gave a CD with the images to an acquaintance, who turned it over to police. Willette has been charged with three counts of possessing child porn and remained Wednesday in the Sarasota County Jail.

Willette admitted to detectives that she had sex with the animals in her home and watched young girls perform sex acts on the Internet, an arrest report says.

Romania Weighs Decriminalizing Incest

Nothing is sacred to these people. No longer limited to rednecks.

Surprising as it may seem, incest is not always a crime in Europe.

Three European Union nations – France, Spain and Portugal – do not prosecute consenting adults for incest, and Romania is considering following suit.

The shocking case of Austrian Josef Fritzl, found guilty this week of holding his daughter captive for 24 years and fathering her seven children, has focused new attention on incest – which is a crime in itself in Austria even if the acts are consensual. But in the Fritzl case it was in connection with rape, homicide and other charges that led to a sentence of life in a secure psychiatric ward.

Laws exempting parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters from prosecution for incestuous acts if they are not forced upon adult family members are decades old in France, Spain and Portugal.

In Romania, decriminalizing incest among consenting adults is being considered as part of a wide range of reforms to the country’s criminal code. No date has been set yet for a parliament vote on the bill, and opposition to the proposal is fervent even among some lawmakers in the ruling coalition.

Currently all forms of incest in Romania are punishable by up to seven years in prison. But Romania’s Justice Ministry suggests the new legislation would move the country – which joined the European Union two years ago – closer legally to some other EU members.

“Not everything that is immoral has to be illegal,” said Justice Ministry legal expert Valerian Cioclei. “We cannot help these people by turning them into criminals and punishing them.”

Incest is defined as sexual intercourse between people too closely related to marry legally. In the United States, all 50 states and the District of Columbia prohibit even consensual incest, although a few states impose no criminal penalties for it, according to the Harvard Law Review.

Legal expert Valerian CiocleiNewspaper articles in Romania have criticized the planned legal change over consensual incest. The ministry, however, countered with a statement claiming that incest cannot be stopped with “criminal sanctions, but with medical and social measures, because incest is based on pathological factors.”

Not all Romanians accept the Justice’s Ministry’s argument.

Anuta Popa, a 22-year-old woman in the western city of Cluj, said she doubted that incest ever happened by consent in her country, saying it was more likely that the man was drunk and violently attacked his sister or mother.

“Incest should not be legalized. If they want to have sex, better to say a prayer and remember that God sees them,” she declared. “I would castrate them.”

Iosif Damian, a 56-year-old cleaner, said he was unsure if consulting adults should be jailed for incest but added “I think it is shameful all the same.”

“Or (if) they are ill and prison is not a solution, they need medical help,” he said.

But one 27-year old chauffeur did not see any problem with the legal change.

“If brothers and sisters want to have fun, why should they be imprisoned? It is nobody’s business what I do in my bedroom,” Ionut Breazu of Cluj told the Associated Press.

Challenges in countries where incest is a crime surface occasionally.

In Germany, the country’s highest court last year rejected an appeal by a man who was sent to prison after fathering four children with his sister in a consensual relationship.

Opponents say that children born out of incest face an increased risk of genetic problems, especially inherited disorders of “recessive” conditions, or those caused by a double dose of a gene that carries a mutation – one from each parent. There are about 3,500 recessive conditions, most of them very rare.

“Everyone carries several of these recessive gene mutations, but since most of them are extremely rare, the chance of two unrelated people carrying a mutation in the same gene is low,” said Jess Buxton, spokesman for the British Society of Human Genetics.

But he said sexual relationships between relatives more closely related than cousins carry increased risks to offspring because the adults share a greater proportion of their genetic material. Full siblings share 50 percent of their genetic material, as do parents and their children.

“The closer the biological relationship between two people, the higher the risk of passing on a recessive condition to their children,” Buxton said.

And then there are the moral dilemmas over incest.

“It generates a confusion of roles,” says Romanian psychologist Aurora Liceanu. “Imagine: how can one explain to a child that his father is also his grandfather?”

Opposition also comes from the Romanian Orthodox Church, which counts some 85 percent of the population among its worshippers and says incest “affects the moral and psychological health of human beings … the sacred family institution, and public morality.”

A Vatican spokesman declined to directly comment on the issue but pointed to Catholic Church doctrine, which bans incest among immediate relatives and says it “corrupts family relationships.”

And sentiment appears strong against any form of incest even in the countries where it is legal among consenting adults. An IPSOS poll in France taken in January showed that 59 percent of the 931 respondents thought all forms of incest should be considered a criminal offense. No margin of error was published.

Yet around Europe, there is some acceptance of consensual incest among adults.

Irish homemaker Margaret Henry, 42, said society shouldn’t be so concerned about it.

“(Why are they) arresting people for what they do in their own homes, as long as they’re adults and they’re not hurting each other?” she asked.

That sentiment was shared by Hermann Koening, a 23-year-old graphic designer from Duesseldorf, Germany.

“Incest is a sin,” Koening said while waiting at a Dublin bus stop. “But maybe it’s wrong to make it a crime.”

Cape Coral, Florida — Rene T. Vanalsburg, 42, and Marc E. Rush were jailed early Tuesday morning after police find a drunk/stoned woman breastfeeding a child and poison, glass, pills and knives in the baby’s room.

Police were called early Tuesday morning after receiving a report of domestic violence at a Cape Coral home. When officers arrived, they encountered one surprising sight after another.

Police say Vanalsburg was found breastfeeding a baby while clearly drunk and high on narcotics. The child’s father was found passed out.

Officers went into the baby’s room and found broken glass, ant killer, spray paint and knives on the floor. Police also found a bottle of Oxycodone in the child’s crib.

Investigators say the couple had been staying with Vanalsburg’s half-sister when the incident occurred. Police were called when Vanalsburg allegedly punched her half-sister in the face.

Vanalsburg was booked into the Lee County Jail on charges child neglect, and two counts of battery. She was arrested again three days later on three counts of battery and violating a domestic violence injunction.

Vanalsburg has a long criminal history which includes drunk driving, battery, breaching the peace and contempt of court. She was a fugitive from justice at one point when she jumped bail and apparently fled to Tennessee. I can’t be sure, but it appears she was caught after being pulled over for expired tags.

Rush was booked into the Lee County Jail on charge of child neglect. His delightful criminal history includes repeated arrests for fraud, multiple arrests for marijuana possession, drunk driving and a grab bag of probation violations.

White man invites girlfriend to a BBQ, beats her up and tries to burn her alive

Marion County deputies arrested Charlie Franklin McCall Wednesday after he allegedly beat his girlfriend before pouring gasoline in her mouth and then threatening to set her on fire.

According to deputies, the victim told them McCall beat her inside their home until she blacked out Tuesday. She was allegedly kicked, punched and then severely beaten with a tire iron, according to the arrest report.

The woman told deputies she was awakened when the man tried to pour gasoline in her mouth. McCall then allegedly grabbed a pack of matches and threatened to set her on fire.

She went on to say that McCall threw her around the home and then dragged to a pickup truck. When McCall ran back inside the house to use the restroom, the woman reportedly fled the scene.

Investigators didn’t have to go far to arrest McCall. By Wednesday he was already incarcerated in the Marion County Jail for violating probation from an arson case. Although the incident occurred on Tuesday, the woman waited until she was in hiding before reporting the attack to the Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators went to the couples home, took photographs and collected the tire iron.

McCall was charged on Thursday with aggravated battery, aggravated assault and criminal mischief resulting in property damage. Although bond was set at $52,000 for the battery charges, McCall remains in jail without bond for violating probation.

Meet Michelle Owen. Concerned that an ex-boyfriend had used her laptop to search for child pornography, the Indiana woman asked police to search the computer for illegal images, but had her plan backfire when cops discovered two videos of her engaged in illicit acts with a dog.

Owen, 24, was charged last week with two felony bestiality counts in connection with the video files, which a detective found in the laptop’s “recycle bin.”

At the time Owen asked cops to search the computer, she was locked up in the Johnson County Jail on a public intoxication charge (which violated the terms of her release in a prior drunk driving case).

According to a police affidavit, a cop told Owen that he had found videos of her on the laptop and asked if she “knew what those files might be.”

Owen, replied, “The one with the dog.”

Cops believe that the dog in question, Toby, is a beagle. After asking if she was “going to be charged with this,” Owen said that the videos “were just something she did when she was drunk and barely remembers it,” adding that she tried to “delete them the next day when she was sober.”

Muskogee – A child rapist has been sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to raping a six-year-old girl.

Forty-four-year-old Vincent Martin LeCompte was charged with felony first-degree rape. As part of a plea agreement, LeCompte was handed a 20-year suspended sentence.

“We feel that justice has been served,” Adair County Assistant District Attorney Shannon Otteson told the Muskogee Phoenix. “The defendant admitted what he did and will serve under very, very stringent rules and restrictions of probation.”

Otteson says the victim had testified previously three times and that it was like being raped all over again. She says under the terms of his probation, LeCompte will be required to undergo sex offender treatment and he will be restricted on where he can live and work for the next 20 years.

Otteson was prosecuting the case because the District Attorney in Muskogee County had a conflict of interest with the defense attorney in the case.

Jerry Moore is the District Attorney for District 27, which covers Adair, Cherokee, Sequoyah and Wagoner counties.

“We met with the family in this matter and the support group for this little girl,” Moore told News Channel 8 in an interview Friday. “They were all in favor of this particular sentence.”

The girl’s mother says her daughter is traumatized and is in counseling.

The teenager who attacked a German school and shot dead 15 people said he was doing it “for fun”, according to a driver whose car the killer hijacked.

Tim Kretschmer also talked of attacking another school as he forced Igor Wolf, 41, at gunpoint to drive him away, Mr Wolf told Germany’s Stern magazine.

Prosecutors are considering whether to charge Kretschmer’s father, who owned the gun, with involuntary manslaughter.

The massacre in Winnenden last week plunged Germany into national mourning.

Kretschmer, 17, used a pistol to kill eight schoolgirls, a schoolboy and three teachers at his former school in the small south-western town, and a bystander nearby, before commandeering Mr Wolf’s car.

Mr Wolf eventually managed to veer off the road and escape unharmed but the gunman went on to kill two other people in the town of Wendlingen, 40km (25 miles) away before he shot himself as police closed in.

Kretschmer stole the legally held gun from his businessman father’s bedroom, police say.

‘Another school?’

In the interview published on Wednesday, Mr Wolf recounts how the teenager jumped into the back seat of his car after fleeing the school, put a gun to his head and forced him to drive away at high speed.

He told him he had just killed people at his old school.

“Why are you doing this shit?” the driver asked.

“For fun, because it’s fun,” Kretschmer replied, speaking very loudly.

When he in turn asked Mr Wolf “Do you think we can find another school?”, the driver says he distracted him by changing the subject.

“He was preparing himself for the next shooting – that’s what went through my mind,” he told Stern.

He initially considered trying to escape from the car at a red light but saw children and women pushing buggies.

“He would have immediately started to shoot, whether at children or old people,” Mr Wolf told the German magazine.

A charge of manslaughter is being considered because the father allegedly left the murder weapon unlocked in his bedroom despite knowing his son was depressed.

“There are concrete signs that the parents knew of their son’s health problems,” prosecutors and local police said in a joint statement.

“Based on this, there is reason to suspect this may be a case of involuntary manslaughter.”

‘If he doesn’t get a girlfriend, I will feel really bad, because I have sold him this thing that he is like everybody else. That’s why I’m working overtime to get this sorted for him.’

Miss Baxter from Abingdon, Oxfordshire is single and has never married but has three other adopted sons – James, 27, Titus, 14, and Raphael, seven. They all have Down’s syndrome.

She has already helped James to set up a page on a social networking website to invite potential partners to come forward for him.

‘I’d like all my boys to find love and enjoy sex,’ she said.

‘I would have no problem paying for Otto to go to Amsterdam to visit a brothel if that’s what he wanted.

‘A few of his friends suggested it a few months ago and since then I’ve talked to Otto about it in an adult way. Why shouldn’t he enjoy the same experiences as other men?’

Otto is an aspiring actor who has appeared in local stage versions of Macbeth and The Canterbury Tales.

He persuaded his mother to help him find a partner after three years without success.

He says his ideal woman is television and radio presenter Fearne Cotton.

He added: ‘I’m on a mission to find a girlfriend. My reason is I want to have sex. I’m looking for girlfriends everywhere.’

Recalling previous encounters, he added: ‘There was Jackie – she was a sexy bird, she was gorgeous. She gave me four kisses.

‘Then there was Sarah. We had a crazy snog together. It was a few months ago. I’m still waiting for her to call me back.’

‘I have brought Otto up to relate to everybody so he has always been to mainstream school and mixed with everybody. I would like to see him with a girlfriend. I would prefer to see him with a girlfriend who doesn’t have Down’s.’

She said she would love to be a grandmother. ‘I would also love it if Otto got a girlfriend pregnant. It’s another experience everyone else goes through so why not him?’

She acknowledged that this was certain to cause controversy and said: ‘I know if he did get someone pregnant everyone would have an opinion on it.’

Miss Baxter also hopes that her eldest adopted son will eventually lose his virginity but is not taking such drastic action as with Otto because James is a little less outgoing.

Carol Boys of the Down’s Syndrome Association said: ‘People with Down’s syndrome have the same feelings and desires as everyone else and there is no reason why they shouldn’t have relationships.

‘There are many with Down’s syndrome who have found a partner and some that have gone on to get married. Otto’s experience highlights that there are different challenges that they have to face because they have a visible disability.’

The face of Josef Fritzl, the Austrian charged with crimes against children he kept and abused in a cellar, has been caught on camera at his trial.

The accused, whose lawyer said he had been “ashamed” to show his face, had been covering himself with a folder since the trial began on Monday.

A verdict for Mr Fritzl, who has access to a psychiatrist as an anti-suicide precaution, is due on Thursday.

Jurors have been watching hours of videotaped testimony from his children.

Mr Fritzl has pleaded guilty to incest and “partially” guilty to rape but not guilty to enslavement or murder at the trial in the town of St Poelten.

He is said to be watching the recordings “attentively” at the trial, which is closed to the press and public until Wednesday in order to protect the identity of victims.

The court also heard expert testimony on infant care on Tuesday.

One of the charges against Mr Fritzl is that he murdered his own newborn baby boy by failing to provide him with proper medical care.

“The final pleas could be made on Thursday morning and that means we could expect to have a verdict on Thursday afternoon,” said court spokesman Franz Cutka.

The media and public were admitted on Monday at the opening of the trial but are being barred from the courtroom while a daughter and son’s testimony is played.

A psychiatric expert is expected to testify on Wednesday and two reports by technical experts regarding the cellar in which the defendant locked his daughter for 24 years will also be read out to the court.

Mr Fritzl, his lawyer and the prosecution all agreed to the reading of the experts’ opinion rather than their appearance at the trial, Mr Cutka said.

No details are being given of the videotaped testimony or Mr Fritzl’s possible responses to it.

“The defendant was questioned about the issues that came up in the testimonies, and he gave his views,” the court spokesman told a news conference.

“The defendant followed the recorded testimony attentively.”

Prison official Erich Huber-Guensthofer confirmed that a psychiatrist had been caring for Mr Fritzl before and during the trial to ensure he did not attempt suicide.

“He is accompanying him during the trial and is available for talks during trial breaks and after the day’s proceedings,” he said.

Mr Fritzl is alleged in 1984 to have lured his daughter into a cellar with windowless soundproofed chambers beneath their house, to have imprisoned her there and raped her repeatedly over a number of years.

The daughter and three of her seven children fathered by Mr Fritzl were kept captive in the cellar until the case came to light in April last year, when one of the children became seriously ill and was taken to hospital.

Mr Fritzl is accused of murdering one of the newborn twin boys his daughter gave birth to in 1996, having failed to arrange medical care for the ailing infant.

Some legal experts have said it may be hard to prove the murder charge but the charge of enslavement carries a maximum penalty of 20 years, and some of the other charges carry a sentence of up to 15 years.

Details have emerged of a bizarre visit that Mr Fritzl received recently in jail by a man claiming to be an estate agent.

The visit was cut short after officials realised the man was trying to pursue “very personal” business with Mr Fritzl, Mr Huber-Guensthofer said, without elaborating.

Bradenton, Florida  — Thomas Wayne Crawford II, a 32-year-old Bradenton, Florida man was arrested Friday on allegations of taking nude photos of his daughter and then uploading them to his computer.

According to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office Crawford’s 11-year-old daughter told investigators that he had taken nude photos of her and placed them on his computer.

When detectives seized and searched Crawford’s computer, they discovered that he had downloaded 65 images of child pornography. The computer has now been sent to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for additional examination.

When investigators interviewed Crawford, he told them that his mother had molested him as a child and that he was downloading the images off an incest related website.

Crawford was booked into the Manatee County Jail on a charge of child pornography/sexual performance of a child. Bail in his case was set at $2.500.

A 19-year-old man has been charged with five misdemeanors in connection with the decapitation of a Tooele family’s pet goats on Halloween.

Tooele city prosecutors this week charged 19-year-old Orion Kent Mitchell Stoltman, of Springville, with two counts of aggravated cruelty to an animal, a class A misdemeanor; and theft, criminal mischief and criminal trespass – all class B misdemeanors.

Stoltman faces up to a year in jail if convicted on each of the class A misdemeanors and up to six months in jail if convicted on each of the class B misdemeanors.

Tooele police announced last month that Stoltman and another juvenile were arrested for the kidnap and slaying of two pygmy goats who were found decapitated at a nearby school. Information on the juvenile defendant is not public because of the child’s age, said Nancy Volmer, a spokeswoman for the Utah State Courts.

Police said in November that three teenagers trespassed in the backyard of Linnells’ home in the early hours of Oct. 31 and broke into a pen containing the family’s goats, Daisy and Duke. The animals were found outside Tooele’s North Lake Elementary School .

Court records show Stoltman pleaded not guilty in January in 4th District Court to charges of failing to stop at the command of a police officer and unlawfully providing shelter to a runaway, both misdemeanors. Alabama shooter was depressed over failures

“I can’t get to kill people overseas so I’ll start killing them at home!”

GENEVA, Ala. – Officials say the man blamed for the worst massacre in Alabama history was depressed and frustrated with his inability to become a Marine or a police officer.

Authorities say 28-year-old Michael McLendon killed five family members and five other people before fatally shooting himself Tuesday.

Barry Tucker with the Alabama Bureau of Investigation says McLendon had told a confidant in the days before the shootings that he was depressed and unfulfilled. He’d been a Marine briefly but was discharged for falsifying information. He also tried and failed to become a police officer.

Authorities also say he left a letter saying he had killed his mother and planned to kill himself. He also mentioned a family dispute over a legal issue but authorities say he didn’t reveal plans to kill any one else.

SAMSON, Ala. (AP) — Investigators found dozens of soot-covered DVDs on how to commit acts of violence in the charred Alabama home where a man killed his mother at the start of the worst massacre in state history, a county official said Thursday.

Authorities say Michael McLendon, 28, set his mother’s body on fire Tuesday afternoon at the home they shared in the isolated community of Kinston. He later killed nine more people, four of them family members, before fatally shooting himself.

Coffee County District Attorney Gary McAliley said investigators found 30 or 40 violent CDs and DVDs in the home and are trying to find out who manufactured them. He said they appeared to be serious, not a joke.

“There was one DVD on how to shoot into a moving car,” McAliley said. One of the victims was driving when he was shot and killed.

McAliley also said McLendon had a permit for two pistols he took with him during the rampage but no license for two assault rifles he used as he squeezed off some 200 rounds.

Officials with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said agents were tracing the weapons to find their source.

McAliley had said earlier that McLendon, whose parents had divorced, appeared to have had a dispute with family members over a family Bible. But he said he now believes “there’s no merit” to that idea.

McLendon began his killing spree a dozen miles from Samson at his mother’s house in Kinson. It ended about an hour later with him taking his own life after a shootout with police in nearby Geneva at Reliable Products, the metals plant where he worked until 2003.

In between, he gunned down three relatives and the wife and 18-month-old daughter of a local sheriff’s deputy on a wide front porch in Samson. He then turned his gun next door and killed his 74-year-old grandmother and sent panicked bystanders fleeing and ducking behind cars.

McLendon then drove off, spraying bullets through the town lined with old brick buildings, killing three more bystanders.

State investigators have interviewed McLendon’s father but say they did not find out a lot that would aid their search for the motive behind the massacre.

Two Britons face charges of attempted murder after shooting at police who stopped them for urinating in the street. The Spanish officers only survived because the 9mm semiautomatic pistol jammed twice.

The British gunman surrendered following a stand-off in Alhaurin el Grande, near Marbella. Named only as Paul B, he had another expat’s passport with him when he was arrested.

The second man, Paul Logan Donnelly from Newcastle, fled the scene after abandoning a sixinch knife. He was later arrested.

The way the men reacted has prompted the authorities to check with British police whether they are on the run.

The drama unfolded around 9pm on Monday evening. Two civil guards stopped the pair after spotting one of them urinating outside a video shop.

Paul B threw the passport to the police and took out the gun. He aimed at one officer and pulled the trigger but it jammed.

He then pointed it at the second guard but it jammed again. The officers then took out their guns and talked him round.

It is thought he had been drinking all day after learning of the death of his six-year-old daughter. Last night the pair were also facing the charge of illegal possession of weapons.

An Irishman who was with the men, both thought to live locally, has been questioned but released without charge.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., March 11 (Reuters) – Eleven people including the suspected gunman and his mother were killed in a shooting spree and car chase in southern Alabama on Tuesday, authorities and local media said.

The shooter, who was in his mid-30s, killed five people including the wife of a local deputy sheriff and her 3-month-old baby at a mobile home in Samson, according to Wynnton Melton, mayor of nearby Geneva, Alabama.

His other victims included his own mother, two people killed at a convenience store and a man in a pickup truck who died during a car chase as the gunman apparently fired at random, said Melton.

In all 10 people plus the gunman died, according to the website of the Dothan Eagle newspaper.

The shooting began in Samson, a small town in the southeastern part of the state and ended after a car chase and gun battle in Geneva, the county seat about 12 miles (20 km) away, according to the FBI and local police.

“Officer Ricky Morgan rammed his car to distract him and was rewarded with a hail of bullets,” said Melton. “One bullet grazed the shoulder of police chief Frankie Lindsey.”

A police officer in Geneva said the gunman “shot at several vehicles on the highway and then he shot at Wal-Mart and Piggly Wiggly,” a grocery store.

A statement from the Alabama Department of Public Safety said state and local law enforcement agencies had responded to “a series of at least four shooting incidents” involving what was believed to be a lone gunman.

The suspect “left at least nine victims dead before he died from a self-inflicted gunshot,” the statement said.

Police said they expected to find more victims. There was no indication of a motive for the spree in which a house was also burned in a nearby county.

Rural southeastern Alabama, which borders Florida, is a largely agricultural area with many low-income families.

WINNENDEN, Germany – A 17-year-old gunman dressed in black opened fire at his former high school in southwestern Germany on Wednesday then fled in a hijacked car, killing at least 15 people before police shot him to death, state officials said.

The gunman entered the school in Winnenden and opened fire, shooting at random, police said. He killed nine students, three teachers and a passer-by outside the building, officials said.

“He went into the school with a weapon and carried out a bloodbath,” said regional police chief Erwin Hetger. “I’ve never seen anything like this in my life.”

Triggering a land and air manhunt, the gunman hijacked a car, freed the driver and drove about 25 miles (40 kilometers) before police found him. When confronted, he killed two bystanders in a shootout with police before he was slain, Baden Wuerttemburg governor Guenther Oettinger said. Two officers were seriously injured, but there was no immediate information on other casualties.

Four hours after the shootings began, police announced the teenager’s death.

Police have identified the gunman only as Tim K, who graduated last year from the school of about 1,000 students.

In their hunt for him, police searched his parents’ home in a nearby town. The suspect’s father, who is a member of a local gun club, had 16 firearms and one was missing, police said.

Authorities have said the weapon was not a rifle, but have otherwise only called it a “high caliber” firearm.

Police had said that a 10th student died of injuries in a local hospital, but spokesman Klaus Hinderer later changed that report saying that it was wrong and blaming an internal police “communications error.”

The death toll brings the killing close to that of Germany’s worst school shooting.

In the 2002, 19-year-old Robert Steinhaeuser shot and killed 12 teachers, a secretary, two students and a police officer before turning his gun on himself in the Gutenberg high school in Erfurt, in eastern Germany.

Steinhaeuser, who had been expelled for forging a doctor’s note, was a gun club member licensed to own weapons. The attack led Germany to raise the age for owning recreational firearms from 18 to 21.

German Chancellor Angel Merkel called the shooting “a horrific crime.”

“It is hard to put into words what happened today, but our sadness and sympathy goes out to the victims’ families,” Merkel said at a news conference.

The European Parliament, meeting in Strasbourg, France, stood in silence for a minute, to honor the victims.

“It is our task as responsible politicians in the European Union and, indeed, all the member states to do our utmost that such deeds can be prevented,” said EU assembly president Hans-Gert Pottering, a German.

‘Swiss gigolo’ jailed for defrauding heiress

MUNICH – A man dubbed “the Swiss gigolo” by the German media was sentenced to six years in prison Monday for defrauding Germany’s richest woman of 7 million euros (about $9 million) and attempting to blackmail her for tens of millions more.

Helg Sgarbi had admitted to the Munich court that he threatened to release secretly recorded videotapes of trysts with BMW heiress Susanne Klatten, 46, unless the married woman gave him millions of euros to keep quiet.

The 44-year-old also admitted convincing Klatten to give him 7 million euros ($9 million) by saying it was for the treatment of a girl left paraplegic after a car crash with Sgarbi.

 

 The Munich state court found Sgarbi guilty of fraud and attempted blackmail.

Klatten did not attend the four-hour trial, and her attorney made no statement to the court. Her spokesman was not immediately available for comment.

Affair at a spa
Sgarbi told to the court he met Klatten at a spa near Innsbruck, Austria, in July 2007 and started an affair. Using what prosecutors called a well-practiced scam, he told Klatten that he was involved in a car accident in the United States that left the girl paralyzed, and convinced Klatten to give him the cash for her treatment.

Sgarbi then demanded Klatten leave her family and invest $367 million in a trust for him, according to the indictment. When she refused, he threatened to release secretly filmed videos of their affair.

Sgarbi demanded $62 million not to tell her family, the heads of her companies and the media. He lowered the demand to $17.72 million but Klatten instead went to the police in January 2007. Sgarbi was arrested shortly in Austria’s Tyrolean Alps and has been held in detention since.

Prosecutor Thomas Steinkraus-Koch praised Klatten for her bravery in stepping forward.

“The only victim who came to us and gave a witness statement is Mrs. Klatten. We had to find the others, with great difficulty,” Steinkraus-Koch said.

68th richest in the world
Klatten is the daughter of the late BMW magnate Herbert Quandt and holds a 46 percent stake in the company along with her mother and brother. She also owns a 88.3 percent share of chemical company Altana.

Forbes magazine listed her as the 68th richest person in the world last year, with a personal fortune of around $9.6 billion. The story has attracted vast media attention in Germany, where the Quandt family is regarded as quasi-royalty.

Sgarbi was also convicted of taking $3 million from three other women in similar scams. Prosecutors did not release the names of the three other victims.

“I deeply regret what has happened and apologize to the aggrieved ladies in this public hearing,” Sgarbi told the court. Sgarbi’s lawyer, Egon Gries, said his client would not answer any questions about where the money had gone or whether anyone had helped him.

Sgarbi had faced a possible 10-year sentence.

White gunmen goes on shooting spree in church, kills Pastor

The pastor of an Illinois church was shot and killed during a service this morning, according to the Maryville Police Department.

CBS Affiliate KMOV reports that a gunman opened fire after 8:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Maryville, Ill., fatally shooting Pastor Fred Winters, 45.

Illinois State Police spokesperson Ralph Timmens said that the gunman walked up one of the aisles at the church and exchanged words with Winters, who walked over towards him.

The suspect then pulled out a .45 caliber handgun and started shooting.

Police said the pastor used a Bible to deflect the first of four rounds fired.

Timmens said the gun then jammed, and the assailant pulled out a knife and started stabbing himself. When parishioners tried to subdue him, he stabbed two others in the process.

At a press briefing this afternoon, Illinois State Police Director Larry Trent said the Bible exploded, producing what appeared to be confetti, causing some in attendence to believe the episode was a skit being performed as part of the service.

Only one of the four rounds fired struck and killed Winters.

Officials don’t know if Winters and the suspect knew each other.

“We don’t know the relationship (between the gunman and pastor), why he’s here or what the circumstances came about that caused him in the first place to be here,” Timmins said.

Winters was taken to Anderson Hospital in Maryville, where he was pronounced dead on arrival, according to spokeswoman Natalie Head.

The gunman and one victim, 39-year-old Terry Bullard, were being treated at St. Louis University Hospital, said spokeswoman Laura Keller. Bullard underwent surgery for stab wounds and was in serious condition, she said. The second wounded congregation member was treated and released.

Keller said the gunman was undergoing surgery early Sunday afternoon but could not provide his name, condition, or type of injuries.

At a press briefing he was described as a 27-year-old white male from Troy, Ill.

The Rev. Mark Jones, another pastor at First Baptist, said he briefly saw the gunman but did not recognize him by name or face.

“We have no idea what this guy’s motives were,” Jones said outside the church. “We don’t know if we’ll ever know that.”

Police said at the time there were approximately 150 people in the church for the first of three Sunday services. Many coming for the second service arrived to find emergency vehicles directing them away from the church, which reportedly has 1,500 members. Some parked at a nearby senior center where they were consoling one another.

First Baptist parishioner Sharla Dryden pulled into the church parking lot for a 9:30 a.m. service in time to see “just a lot of chaos, lot of police, fire, and people just devastated.”

“They just said there had been a shooting,” said Dryden, 62. “I would have been devastated if anyone had been shot, but to hear it was the pastor was terrible. You just never expect this to happen at a church.”

Winters, a father of two who had led First Baptist for nearly 22 years, was the former president of the Illinois Baptist State Association and an adjunct professor for Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, according to the church’s Web site.

“Our great God is not surprised by this, or anything,” Nate Adams, executive director of the Illinois Baptist State Association, said in a statement. “That He allows evil and free will to have their way in tragedies like this is a mystery in many ways. But we know we can trust Him no matter what, and draw close to Him in any circumstances.”

A notice on the church’s Web site announced a prayer service this evening at 6 p.m. at Metro Community Church in Edwardsville, Ill., and asked, “Please continue to pray.”

Maryville is about 20 miles northeast of St. Louis.

A 20-year-old in Nebraska is facing animal cruelty charges after stuffing his kitten inside of a bong. Acea Schomaker said his cat named Shadow just needed some time to mellow out.

Shadow is recovering at an animal shelter. Sheriff deputies found the 6-month-old kitten taped inside a makeshift bong as it was being smoked. The bong is made of Plexiglas, about the size of shoebox.

Deputies were looking for 20-year-old Schomaker. He was wanted on a warrant for possession of marijuana. They found him in his home, and they say he was smoking the bong.

Schomaker told deputies the kitten was high strung. He says he put it in the bong to keep it calm.

Humane society officials did x-rays and other tests to see if the kitten has any long-term affects from the alleged abuse. Police said Schomaker told them he had done this several times. They say they are working with the sheriff’s office and the county attorney to get custody of the animal so it can be put up for adoption.

Schomaker has been released from jail after paying a $400 fine. He faces drug and misdemeanor animal cruelty charges.

The videotape of a King County sheriff’s deputy roughing up a 15-year-old girl in a holding cell has caught the attention of the Department of Justice, which “is definitely looking into the matter,” according to Assistant U.S. Attorney Kelly Harris, who heads the local office’s civil-rights division.

Harris said the U.S. Attorney’s Office had learned of the incident last month when the Sheriff’s Office announces criminal charges had been filed against the deputy. He said the office “just didn’t have enough to go on” at that point, but the release Friday of the video from a holding cell changed that.

“It is on our radar now,” Harris said. “That was the first time we’d seen in on Friday, and we’ve had a couple of days to talk about it. We are looking, yes.”

Deputy Paul Schene, 31, of Auburn, an eight-year department veteran, has been charged with misdemeanor assault in connection with the Nov. 29 incident. He’s accused of kicking Malika Calhoun in the abdomen, punching her in the head and pulling her hair in a sheriff’s holding cell after her arrest for car theft.

If the U.S. Attorney’s Office determines that he violated the girl’s civil rights, Schene could also face federal felony charges. Civil rights criminal charges, however, are rare. The only case ever filed in Western Washington involved another King County sheriff’s deputy, Brian Bonnar, and another case in which a deputy is supposed to have assaulted a person in custody.

A jury acquitted Bonnar following a trial last December, despite the testimony of several eyewitness deputies.

“I do wish I had had video in that trial,” said Kelly, who prosecuted the Bonnar case.

On the video, Calhoun is seen kicking her tennis shoe off at the deputy as he closes the holding cell door. Schene then charges into the holding cell, throwing Calhoun against a wall. He then knocks her to the floor and, with the help of another deputy, holds her down while he punches her. He then picks her up by the hair and marches her out of the cell. The deputy later says said the teen’s tennis shoe injured his shin.

The video was posted online, and has sparked outrage. Calhoun, who is now 16, and her father, appeared on CBS’s “The Early Show” on Monday.

She said she screamed at the deputy to stop.

“I was yelling. I was like, ‘This isn’t — I’m not resisting, I’m not resisting,’ and he said, ‘Whether you’re resisting or not, that was assault,’ ” Calhoun said. “Then he just kept doing it and kept going and going.”

A telephone message left with Schene’s attorney, Anne Bremner, was not immediately returned.

Schene was released on his own recognizance after he was charged. He’s currently on administrative leave from the Sheriff’s Office.
