CHARLESTON – Charleston police on Friday arrested a man who is a member of a West Side family who lived near where an elderly woman was killed and have been linked to the suspect in the murder investigation.

Ferris Eugene Mallo, 29, was wanted on three counts each of first-degree sexual assault and burglary, according to Charleston police.

He turned himself in to Nitro police about 2:30 p.m., according to a release from that department.

Police say he broke into his ex-wife’s home a raped her.

Mallo’s arrest is the latest police action in a string of arrests that could be related to the death of 82-year-old Phyllis Jean Phares.

On Wednesday, officers arrested a 14-year-old in the death of Phares. Police said the suspect is not related to the victim.

On Thursday, Charleston Police Sergent Autumn Davis announced that 67-year-old Alexander Mallo, his wife, 55-year-old Carolyn Mallo, and their daughter 27-year-old Trina Mallo had been taken into custody.

They were charged with child neglect creating risk of injury, which is a felony. The victims were two juveniles who were family members.

The Mallos lived across the street from Phares and neighbors living in the area said they were relatives of the boy accused of killing Phares.

Davis said the Mallo’s home was in “deplorable” condition and “unfit for human living.” She said the home was filled with cockroaches and broken glass. She also said there were prescription drugs, knives and swords within reach of the children who lived there.

Davis refused to say if the Mallos were related to the suspect.

Charleston police were called to Phares’ home on the 1300 block of Frame Street about 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

Police have declined to give details on the cause of death or motive. Stay with 13News for the latest on this story.

WASHINGTON – A Duke University official has been arrested and charged with offering his adopted 5-year-old son for sex.

Frank Lombard, the school’s associate director of the Center for Health Policy, was arrested after an Internet sting, according to the FBI’s Washington field office and the city’s police department.

According to an affidavit by District of Columbia Police Det. Timothy Palchak, an unnamed informant facing charges in his own child sex case led authorities to Lombard.

Authorities said that Lombard tried to persuade a person — who he did not know was a police officer — to travel to North Carolina to have sex with Lombard’s child.

The detective’s affidavit charges Lombard identified himself online as “perv dad for fun,” and says that in an online chat with the detective, Lombard said he had sexually molested his son, whom he adopted as an infant.

The court papers say Lombard also invited the undercover detective to North Carolina to have sex with the young boy, and even suggested which hotel he should use.

Lombard was charged in federal court in Washington with attempting to induce someone to cross state lines to engage in sex with a child. If convicted, he could face a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

Lombard’s lawyer did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

Michael Schoenfeld, vice president for public affairs at Duke, said Lombard has been employed with Duke University since 1999. He is now on unpaid administrative leave.

“Duke is cooperating with the investigation,” Schoenfeld said. He said the university was notified of the incident after Lombard was arrested.

Authorities executed a search warrant Wednesday evening at Lombard’s home, according to court documents. The papers show investigators seized two webcams, five computers and a sex toy, among other items.

LOS ANGELES, CA – Plans for Michael Jackson’s funeral have been revealed by his estate.

Michael Jackson died yesterday afternoon of a heart attack.  People all over the world mourn the loss of the King of Pop.  In cities across the globe people gathered in squares and parks with candles in hand to mournfully sing his classics like “Beat It” and “Don’t Stop till You Get Enough.”  In Utah the Salt Lake City Boys Choir did an a cappella version of “Billie Jean” that was broadcast on loudspeakers into the city and on Mormon Television Networks.

Representatives of the Jackson estate have released a statement detailing some of the plans for Mr. Jackson’s funeral.  In his will Jackson wishes for his body to be cremated and sprinkled over the surface of the moon.  However since then his finances have taken a downturn and new plans have had to be created.

A somber and respectful service will be held at an upscale funeral home in Los Angeles.  The funeral will be closed casket, with a large picture of Michael from 1982.    Seated front row will be Jackson’s ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley, the  skeleton of the Elephant Man, Bubbles 4 (the most recent pet monkey to carry the name), and Macaulay Culkin.  The remaining members of the Four Tops, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross and the Supremes will all perform at the ceremony to pay their respects.  Acting as pallbearers will be the Harlem Globetrotters, who made Michael an honorary member in 1978.

President Barack Obama has expressed his sadness at the news of Jackson’s death.  In respect he held his press conference on the matter wearing one white glove.  Secret Service reports indicate he spent last night drinking scotch and moon-walking through the White House.

Sources within the intelligence community believe that Kim Jong Il may be planning a tribute concert in Pyongyang, wearing a red leather version of his standard jumpsuit.  Photographs show Kim Jong Il desperately trying to learn the dance to Thriller.

The closed casket, and other details, have raised some questions.  Yesterday afternoon also saw a flurry of strange meteorological activity over the New Mexico desert.  When asked, one source working out of Area 51 who wishes to remain anonymous said “Michael?  He not dead.  He’s just going home.”

Despite his many controversies and eccentricities the world mourns the loss of this unforgettable musical icon.

A pastor in the US state of Kentucky told his flock to bring handguns to church in what he said was an effort to promote safe gun ownership.

Pastor Ken Pagano told parishioners to bring their unloaded guns to New Bethel Church in Louisville for a service celebrating the right to bear arms.

He said he acted after church members voiced fears the Obama administration could tighten gun control laws.

When the service began, some 200 people were present, AP news agency said.

“We are wanting to send a message that there are legal, civil, intelligent and law-abiding citizens who also own guns,” Mr Pagano told the congregation.

“If it were not for a deep-seated belief in the right to bear arms, this country would not be here today,” he said.

The pastor also held a handgun raffle, as well as providing information on gun safety.

“I wish more churches did this, I wish more people did this,” the Louisville Courier-Journal quoted one attendee, Doreen Rogers, as saying.

About 10 members of a private local militia also attended, the Courier-Journal said.

A coalition of religious groups and campaigners held a rival gun-free event at the same time on the other side of Louisville.

“The idea of wearing guns to churches or any sacred space I think many people find deeply troubling,” organiser Terry Taylor told AP.

In the US, the right to bear arms is enshrined in the Second Amendment of the US Constitution. There are thought to be more than 200 million firearms in private hands.

But some gun owners fear that the new administration in the White House could try to challenge or amend some gun ownership laws.

Critics of the laws, meanwhile, link high levels of gun crime with high levels of gun ownership.

Forty-six-year-old Riana said: ‘I love them all. But they’re a handful.’

Riana bought her first cheetah, Fiela in 2006, after realising the big cats were in trouble and heading for extinction with only 1000 left in Africa.

She left her full time job working for the department of justice – a position she had held for 22 years – and found temporary employment on a game ranch where she could raise her beloved big cat.

But Riana’s real dream was fully realised after she set up the not-for-profit Fiela Funds Cheetah Breeding Project in South Africa to ensure the long-term survival of the cheetah and their ecosystem.

Appearing in public for the first time since he went missing on Thursday last week, Mr Sanford confirmed he had not been hiking along the Appalachian Trail as he had led his office staff to believe.

“The bottom line is this,” Mr Sanford said. “I have been unfaithful to my wife. I developed a relationship, which started as a dear, dear friend from Argentina.

“It began very innocently as I suspect these things do, in just a casual email back and forth, in advice on one’s life there, and advice here.

“But here recently over this last year it developed into something much more than that, and as a consequence I hurt her, I hurt you all, I hurt my wife, I hurt my boys, I hurt friends like Tom Davis, I hurt a lot of different folks.”

The woman in question is known only as Maria, a mother of two boys, who lives in a Buenos Aires apartment block.

Within hours of Mr Sanford facing a packed new conference in South Carolina, the local newspaper,  The State, released leaked emails containing highly personal exchanges between him and his lover.

In an email on July 10 last year, Mr Sanford told Maria how “my heart cries out for you, your voice, your body, the touch of your lips, the touch of your finger tips and an even deeper connection to your soul”.

He said his love for her snuck up on him like a lightning strike, and went into detail about her “erotic beauty”.

Maria told Mr Sanford in an earlier email: “You are my love … Sometimes you don’t choose things, they just happen…”

Mr Sanford, who is normally on call 24 hours a day and accompanied by bodyguards in public, kicked off a huge fuss across the US after he was last seen driving alone through the gates of his official mansion seven days ago. At one point a mobile phone tower picked up his signal near Atlanta, Georgia, before going dead. It is now clear he took a flight from Atlanta to Argentina.

Mr Sanford is not only the head of state in South Carolina but a leading figure in the Republican Party who had been touted as a possible presidential candidate in 2012.

Mr Sanford did not tell his wife, Jenny, where he was and she confirmed during his absence that he had not contacted the family on Sunday, Fathers Day.

He confirmed he had met Maria three times “during that whole sparking thing” after the pair’s relationship started a year ago.

He said he had met her “very innocently” a little over eight years ago.

His wife had known about the relationship for some months, he said.

While indicating that the affair may be over, he admitted it would take “months” or “years” to work through the fallout, personally and politically.

Mr Sanford has resigned as chairman of the Republican Governors Association after saying it was the appropriate thing to do. He has been replaced quickly by Mississippi governor Haley Barbour.

He hinted strongly that he was inclined to stay on as South Carolina’s governor, but could come under pressure to quit immediately if it is  proven that he used public funds to pay for trips to visit his lover.

The governor, in his previous position as a South Carolina Republican congressman, was one of Bill Clinton’s staunchest critics during impeachment proceedings over the Monica Lewinsky affair.

In 1999 Mr Sanford said that lying undermined the system of government, and was among Republicans pushing for Mr Clinton to resign.

Mr Sanford admitted there were huge issues to be worked through with his wife, who had supported him through 20 years of standing for office, his four sons, his parents-in-law, his good friend Tom Davis, who had collected him from the airport, friends, staff members and others who were entitled to be disappointed in his actions.

Some Republicans were immediately reported as describing the latest sex scandal involving their party as “like a bad episode of Survivor”.

Only last week Republican senator John Ensign admitted to having had an affair with a female staffer, amid allegations of blackmail.

Senator Ensign also appears to be out of the running as a presidential candidate for 2012.

Who are you, and what do you do?
My name is Phil and I run Easy Tiger Corp. We make Pre-Stained Underwear.

You sell WHAT?
Pre-Stained Underwear. Underwear for men that has skid marks printed in them.

What the deuce? Why?
The idea behind our underwear is that when a woman catches you with dirty pants, it can be quite embarrassing, but if they’re ours, you can just say you bought them that way and you’re home free.

A logical fallacy, surely. If you’re genuinely stained, you could claim this anyway without buying these pants. If you’re wearing the fake stains, but are actually clean, you’re unnecessarily invoking potential disgust. Please defend your assertion.
When you’re wearing Easy Tiger underwear it’s got the tiger logo on the crotch which says “I’m super confident and you know you want some of this sexy man action”. The skid mark says, “I’ve got a sense of humour and I don’t take myself too seriously” which women find hugely attractive. I bet you if you did a scientific study you’d find that people that wear Easy Tiger Underwear would get three times as much sexy time in one night. She (or he) wouldn’t even let you go to sleep. By the end of it you would just be like “I’m going home, and I’m getting some ice. I think you broke it.” If they were just regular old skiddy pants, I think you might have a little bit of a problem getting any action. They’d probably have holes in them too so your trousers would get checked and they would realise it was a lie because you’d stained those too.

So do you have, like, any customers?
I got my first repeat order this morning! We’ve only launched two weeks ago so I’m damn proud of that.

Do these pants also come in piss, blood and cum flavours?
We have a pair with all three on the same garment. They’re called “What The F*ck Happened To Me Last Night Underwear”.

How do you get the fake stain onto the pants – and might it wash out?
Find a willing printer (harder than you might imagine). The hard bit about this is convincing people you are serious and you aren’t taking the piss. The printing is no different then what you do when you get T-Shirts made up. The stain won’t wash out, anymore than the skiddies in your regular undies will. Actually if anyone has found a good way of doing that, please get in touch.

What does your mum think of this?
I don’t know. She won’t return my calls.

Why are you called ‘Easy Tiger Corp’?
It’s called Easy Tiger, because when someone’s losing their shit (pardon the pun) that’s what you say to them. The Corp is so you know we’re serious and we mean business. Also it shortens to ETC which I quite like.

So it’s not an anagram, then? We tried, and the best we could do was ‘Yep, erotic rags’. Not very good. But we’re still suspicious. Especially as you can get the word ‘crap’ out of it.
I think you’ll find if you go back and rearrange the letters some more that Easy Tiger Corp is very obviously an anagram for “Super Wicked Amazing Business Venture”.

Ever considered taking this idea onto Dragons’ Den?
I might, but I don’t really need the extra investment. You don’t really need an incredible amount of money to do something like this as long as you have good friends to help you out. My ex-girlfriend and my best friend did all the art work. My friend Paul’s band Spindle and Wit are doing the modeling, with the help of my very sexy friend Morgan, and my cousin, a very talented photographer, is helping me fix the incredibly shit photos I took. So it’s all worked out well and hasn’t cost too much.

White man forces child to eat his own feces

Why are whites so inhumanly abusive towards children?

LEX 18 News has learned new information about a Madison County man charged with abusing his girlfriend’s child, even forcing him to eat his own feces as a form of punishment.

Investigators say the child’s father alerted them to the abuse when he took the four-year-old for the weekend and noticed bruises on his forehead, back and arms. Craig Shearer, 32, is charged with abusing the boy inside their home on College Hill Road in Waco.

Police say the child was left Shearer’s care sometimes 12 or 14 hours or longer at a time, and say they think that’s probably when most of the abuse, which they say including forcing the child to eat his own feces and drink his own urine as punishment for bathroom accidents.

Police say it’s hard to pinpoint exactly when the alleged abuse occurred because of the age of the victim and the types of injuries, but say the abuse happened on at least two occasions.

Police say they’ve dealt with Shearer before, as he has previously been convicted of assault and being in possession of meth.

Investigators also say the boy’s 18-month-old sister has injuries as well, but so far doctors can’t determine if those injuries are accidental.

Police say the boy recovering and is in his father’s custody.

Wrestler Brian Blair goes to jail on child abuse charges

Tampa, Florida — Brian Leslie Blair, a 52-year-old – former Hillsborough County Commissioner, was arrested Sunday morning after he allegedly spent Father’s Day punching his two sons.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Blair pushed his 17 year old son at around 4 a.m. Sunday morning. When his son tried to walk away, Blair reportedly grabbed him, punched him in the face and then placed him in a choke hold.

Investigators say Blair then went after his 13-year-old son, grabbing him by the throat and then punching him in the head.

Prior to his career as County Commissioner, Blair rose to fame in the 1980’s as a wrestler with the World Wrestling Federation. He entertained as a tag-team duo known as the “Killer Bees”.

Blair claims his wrestling career came to an end on the evening of June 2, 2001, when he visited a Florida restaurant with his wife and two sons.

After taking his sons to the restroom, Blair reportedly tripped over a tray of dirty dishes left in “a poorly lit area,” according to his complaint.

“It knocked the dog doo-doo out of me,” Blair recounted in a deposition.

He launched a lawsuit against the restaurant just days after he lost his first bid for County Commissioner. He claimed the restaurant was liable for his career-ending injuries. The restaurant was ready, however, to introduce videos into evidence showing Blair wrestling in Japan after the fall. Both parties eventually settled the case.

Now he’s knocking the “doo-doo” out of his sons, according to police.

Blair was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail on two counts of child abuse – domestic violence. As of Monday morning, he remains in custody without bond.

Dramatic footage has been released of two women protesters being bundled to the ground after asking a policeman for his identification number.

The video shows one of the climate change protesters being held by the throat by a police officer.

The footage shot by police, who were policing the protest at the Kingsnorth power station in Kent last August, has been handed to the Independent Police Complaints Commission, according to the protesters.

The pictures show Emily Apple, 33, asking one of the policemen for his number. He responds: ‘I don’t have to tell you.’

She insists he does and asks her fellow protester, Val Swain, 43, a mother of three from Cornwall, to take a picture of the officer. Moments later both are dragged to the floor and put in the stress position.

Mrs Apple, a mother of one from Cardiff, told The Guardian newspaper, which obtained the footage, that within seconds of her request she had been thrown to the floor.

‘The first shot she [Mrs Swain] tried to take was blocked by the officer and the second shot she was grabbed and bundled across the road,’ Mrs Apple said. ‘Within seconds I was also on the floor being restrained.’

When told she is being arrested, Mrs Swain cries out: ‘Arrested for what? Taking a photograph?’

The footage also shows the officer holding her by the throat and pulling her head up, seemingly to show her face to the camera. Mrs Swain is later shown having her legs bound and being carried into the back of a police van by several officers.

The video also shows officers applying pressure to stress points on the women’s body as fellow protesters are heard in background demanding to know why they are being arrested.

Both women insist they were deliberately targeted by officers for their involvement in Fit Watch, an organisation which opposes heavy-handed policing and surveillance filming.

The pair were held for four days after being arrested for obstructing police officers but were eventually released without charge, they claim.

A spokesman for the IPCC said last night that the video had not yet been received.

‘Today is the first I have heard of the video. But we will look at anything that comes to us,’ said Trish Keville, IPCC press officer.

West Yorkshire Police could not be reached last night and a Kent Police spokesman said he did not know how the video, shot by police officers, ended up with the Guardian.

They were married on a special flight that simulates the zero gravity experienced by astronauts on space walks.

The couple paid more than £10,000 to have their wedding in a converted Boeing 727 jet that undertakes roller coaster style dives.

Their flight took off from the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida. The zero gravity flight, which lasts 90 minutes, made 16 roller coaster type dives, known as parabolic arcs, to create the weightlessness inside the cabin.

Many Romanian homes were attacked and vandalise

Two boys aged 15 and 16 have been charged in connection with the intimidation of Romanian families in south Belfast.

Both have been charged with provocative behaviour. The 15 year old is also charged with intimidation.

They were arrested in the wake of vandalism and attacks on the homes of more than 100 Romanian migrants.

Meanwhile, a crowd of about 200 people attended an anti-racism rally at Belfast City Hall on Saturday.

The attacks forced the Romanian people to leave their homes and seek refuge in a church hall.

The two youths are due to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning, a police spokesman said.

Two houses in the Donegall Avenue area were searched during a police operation.

A number of Romanian families had to leave their homes on Tuesday and were housed in temporary accommodation.

About 200 people attended an anti-racism rally at Belfast’s City Hall

A Romanian family was also attacked in east Belfast on Wednesday when a window was smashed in their home on the Upper Newtownards Road.

South Belfast MLA Anna Lo told the rally that most of the affected families are already preparing to leave Northern Ireland.

“The majority are making preparations to go back to Romania,” she said.

“I think this is a very sad picture for Northern Ireland, that we can’t protect people who have come seeking a better life.

“So many of them liked it here, they like the people here, they like their jobs – but what happened in the last few days makes them fearful of staying here.”

Patricia McKeown, of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, said: “We cannot accept this happening to anyone in our society, particularly those who are the most vulnerable and who have come here because they are fleeing repression in their own country and across Europe.”

Barbara Muldoon, of the Anti-Racism Network, addressed those who had carried out the attacks, saying: “You do not speak on behalf of the people of Belfast or Northern Ireland.

“Your shame is not our shame.”

Muskogee, Oklahoma — Austin Mullins, 26, and Krystal Lewis, 23, have been arrested after killing and then skinning a seven-week old puppy to make a belt.

According to the Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office, Austin Mullins did the shooting and Krystal Lewis skinned the dog, intending to make a belt.

Lewis had been given a dog by a girlfriend – however when the two had a falling out, the woman decided to put the dog to another use by turning it’s hide into a belt, according to Muskogee Sheriff, Charles Pearson.

Investigators say Mullins took the seven-week old Jack Russell terrier named Joplin out to Hopewell Park where he shot it several times with a .22 caliber rifle. Once the puppy was dead, he brought it back to Lewis’ apartment where she proceeded to skin it. She then nailed the pup’s hide to the back of her apartment building.

A 19-year-old female, who was with Mullins at the time of the shooting, told deputies she watched him shoot the dog up to 10 times. A Crime Stopper’s tip alerted deputies to the incident.

After admitting to the shooting and skinning the dog, Mullins and Lewis were charges with felony animal abuse.

‘Ruthless’ paedophile convicted

A 69-year-old Jersey man, described as a ruthless paedophile, has been found guilty of raping and abusing a child.

Claude Donnelly from St Brelade was found guilty of 10 counts of indecent assault, procuring an act of gross indecency and four counts of rape.

The jury at the Royal Court returned a unanimous verdict on all but one of the indecent assault charges.

At an earlier trial Donnelly was found guilty of raping and indecently assaulting a teenage girl in the 1980s.

Thursday’s 15 convictions related to a woman who told the court Donnelly started abusing her 30 years ago when she was eight.

Outside the Royal Court, Det Supt Mick Gradwell, who is in charge of the island’s historic abuse inquiry, said: “Donnelly is without doubt a ruthless, predatory paedophile, whose behaviour has affected the young girls he preyed upon.

“We hope the victims who have been involved in these two trials have received some comfort and satisfaction from the decision that’s been reached by the courts.”

Donnelly was remanded in custody and will be sentenced on 21 August.

Neither trial was linked to the ongoing investigation at the former Haut de la Garenne children’s home.

White man kills grandson over watermelon

COMMERCE, Ga. — A Commerce man shot his wife and shot and killed her 6-year-old grandson during a family fight Sunday, authorities said. The suspect was later shot by police.  Police said Monday the confrontation began over a watermelon.

The shooting happened in the 200 block of Troy Street at about 12:55 p.m. in Commerce on Sunday.
Police said the suspect’s wife, 58-year-old Linda Clark, called authorities to the home saying she had been shot.

When police arrived on the scene, they said 55-year-old Robert Clark opened fire on them.
Police said they were able to convince Robert Clark to allow his injured wife and one of two grandchildren who were in the house to come out. Soon after, police said he opened the front door with a gun in his hand and they shot him.
When authorities entered the residence, they found one of Linda Clark’s grandchildren, Michael Levigne, 6, dead.
Police said they found a second grandchild, a 5-year-old boy, inside the house unharmed.
Channel 2 Action News reporter Jeff Dore went to Commerce Monday to talk with the police chief about the incident. Police said it appeared the shooting began with a fight over a watermelon.

“I’m not sure that it’s easy to get your mind around that concept, but we believe it was some sort of issue with the child either dropping or prematurely cutting this watermelon that initially precipitated the argument,” said Commerce Police Chief John Gaissert.

The suspect and his wife were life-flighted to Grady Memorial Hospital. They were both listed in stable condition.
Gaissert said the Clark home has been a frequent scene of trouble, with seven 911 calls to the house in the past year.
The second grandchild has been placed in the custody of the Department of Family and Children Services.
Police said the children were Linda Clark’s maternal grandchildren. Robert Clark was not biologically related to the children, although he and his wife had custody of the children.
Police have not located the children’s mother and, in the past, their father has been arrested on drug charges, police said. Gaissert characterized the family situation as “dysfunctional.”
Robert Clark has been charged with murder, aggravated assault, and aggravated assault on police.

White man drinks daughter’s breast milk to combat cancer

Cancer sufferer Tim Browne pours a rather bizarre ingredient over his breakfast cornflakes – his daughter’s breast milk.

Mum-of-one Georgia, 27, expresses her milk after feeding baby son Monty, then delivers it to her ailing dad in the hope that it will boost his immune system as he battles colon and liver cancer.

And one month after drinking her milk mixed with his daily pinta, scans showed that 67-year-old Tim’s cancer had reduced.

Tim, a retired teacher, of Calne, Wilts, said: “It’s not unpleasant – just slightly pungent and oily. But once it is mixed with cow’s milk, I can’t taste it.

“I do feel like I have a special bond with Georgia and Monty.”

Daughter Georgia, of Bristol, said: “I don’t find it strange at all. I’m just glad to help. My mum Carole and my siblings are right behind it. In fact, they all think it’s quite funny – and Dad’s told his friends.”

Tim was diagnosed with cancer in July 2007, a week before Georgia’s wedding. He had an operation to remove a tumour and a year of chemotherapy put the disease in remission.

But it returned when Georgia was pregnant. Baby Monty was just a month old when she saw a TV documentary on the benefits of breast milk.

She said: “This man with prostate cancer swore that drinking breast milk every day had reduced his tumours. Dad agreed it was a worth a go.”

Tim’s doctors support the odd concoction. But although scans show that his condition has improved, it cannot be proved if it is down to the milk or chemotherapy.

World Cancer Research Fund UK said: “We are not aware of any evidence that breast milk brings any benefits to cancer patients.”

Georgia said: “I’d do anything to give my dad more time.”

Mother and daughter arrested for operating brothel out of home

Berkeley, Illinois — A mother-daughter operated prostitution brothel was shut down last week after both women were arrested at the conclusion of a 3-month long prostitution investigation. The arrests mark the second time mother and daughter have been arrested for operating a house of prostitution.

Kimberly “Big Kim” Miniea, 49, and Kimberly Peterson, 19, were arrested earlier this month after Hillside and Berkeley police departments raided their home at 5710 Hawthorn Ave. in Berkely. The women were charged with felony pandering and keeping a house of prostitution.

Eight people in all were taken into custody during the raid.

Casey Norder, 21, was charged with prostitution and Kevin Schwartz was arrested for solicitation of a prostitute and possession of marijuana. Four others were arrested at the scene but were later released without charges.

Miniea and Peterson were arrested nearly three years ago when Miniea told police she was operating an escort service for married men. Peterson was 16 at the time.

Those charges were dropped, however the pair made news again in April 2007 when Kimberly Peterson was arrested again for prostitution at age 17.

In that case, police answered a Craigslist ad Peterson had placed which offered “a beautiful blond for $250.” The undercover detective who went to the home was reportedly offered sex with 27-year-old Heidi Mudge, according to police.

Both women are scheduled to appear in court on their current charges June 12.

Sadistic Quartet Accused Of Torturing Children

LOS LUNAS, N.M. (KRQE) – Friday, Valencia County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested four people, who they believe, have been torturing children.

Deputies said the adults used duct tape to tie the kids to a chair, put a towel over their heads and shocked them repeatedly with an electric battery.

A half dozen Valencia County Sheriff’s Deputies converged on 1519 Mario Drive in Los Lunas Friday. Deputies said that inside the home, four children suffered.

The four children said to be tortured are a 3-year-old, two 4-year-olds and a 6-year-old.

“These innocent children were treated like livestock,” Deputy Sheriff Joe Martinez said.

A person familiar with the situation spoke with News 13 under the condition that we disguise their identity.

“I’ve actually heard kids screaming, kid actually,” the person said. “I want to see them pay; I want somebody to pay for hurting those kids.”

Deputies caught Anthony Welker at the home early Friday evening. He is the father of three girls who were in the home.

Welker wouldn’t speak to cameras, but he led deputies to a park where the mother of the girls, Kimberly Galczynski, was arrested.

The man investigators said was the most sadistic suspect, Gerald Tunnell, not only shocked the children with a car battery but also beat them with a belt, according to deputies. The criminal complaint said that Welker also used a belt to beat the children.

Tunnell is not related to any of the children, but his girlfriend Brenda Mundo is. Mundo is grandmother to the three girls and the guardian of the boy, who the children said, was abused the most.

All four adults are jailed on $1 million cash bonds, and have been charged with child abuse, kidnapping and conspiracy.

The state has taken the children and put them in a safe place.

White man jailed after sending FBI agent video of himself sexually assaulting baby

Cedar Rapids, Iowa  — Donald R. Peppers, a 35-year-old Chicago man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly filmed himself sexually assaulting a baby and then distributing the video online.

According to FBI, agents were monitoring a sexually explicit website late May when they encountered Peppers using the online handle “illinoisdonboy31″.

Undercover agents were chatting with Peppers via instant messager when he reportedly sent them images and videos depicting adults sexually abusing young children, according to court documents.

Peppers also sent messages that described his sexual abuse of a 1-year-old boy that was occasionally left in his care. He went on to tell agents he was frustrated that he wasn’t able to spend more time with the child before the child’s parents returned.

Peppers allegedly stated he dreamed about raping babies and wanted to buy a baby from a drug addict so “we could do whatever we want to him.” according to agents. Peppers also provided photos of the child he claimed to have molested.

On June 1st, agents communicated with Peppers again. This time Peppers allegedly sent investigators a video showing him fondling the baby he took care of. Agents then uncovered the man’s location, obtained a warrant and raided his home.

Inside, investigators found an extensive collection of videos, photographs and DVDs containing child pornography, according to court documents.

Peppers was charged with distribution and possession of child pornography. He will be extradited to Chicago, where he is expected to answer charges.

Bradenton, Florida — Joshua Graden, a 21-year-old Osprey man was arrested Monday after he was found naked inside a Bradenton woman’s car. The stench left behind in car was so bad, the woman was forced to have the vehicle professionally detailed afterwards.

According to Bradenton police, officers were dispatched after a woman found a naked man inside her vehicle and called 911. Another resident in the neighborhood also called police after a man he did not recognize banged on his door demanding to be let in.

When officers arrived, they found Graden inside the woman’s white Chevy SUV – who kept repeating he didn’t know where he was, according to the arrest report. When officers asked the man his name, he began cursing while throwing items from the car out into the yard.

Investigators also found a pair of pants and a belt in the middle of the road.

After a brief struggle, Graden was arrested and booked into the Manatee County Jail on charges of burglary and resisting arrest without violence. He was released on a $1,000 bond.

Normally, not much happens in Keyser, West Virginia, but today the folks in this quaint little railroad town, nestling in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, are spoilt for choice.

Either they can whoop and holler along to fiddle music at the annual Strawberry Festival or head down to the bookshop, where a local ‘celebrity’ – as her agent-cum-lawyer describes her – is signing first editions of her new biography.

Arriving at Main Street Books to find a young woman – considerably heavier now, but still grimly familiar – loitering self-consciously beside a pile of unsold manuscripts, it becomes clear that the fiddle players have won hands-down.

When the shop closes, two hours later, Lynndie England has autographed barely two dozen copies, mostly for acquaintances such as her old schoolteacher.

For even on her home territory, few people are willing to line the pockets of this fallen girl soldier; who posed for a stomach-churning series of ’souvenir’ photographs that cost countless American lives and brought shame on the nation.

Five years have passed since a U.S. TV station first broadcast those pictures, staged to humiliate and dehumanise Iraqi prisoners – and provide warped amusement for their U.S. Army guards – at Abu Ghraib prison, near Baghdad.

They caused universal outrage, ending any lingering pretence that President George W. Bush was on some moral crusade in Iraq, and sparking a wave of retaliatory beheadings; many of which were videoed to reciprocate the horror and degradation meted out to the Muslim detainees.

Such was their impact that they are still said to be used as recruitment propaganda for Islamic terror groups.

After all, what better way to incite a young fanatic than by showing him a photo of a female American soldier nonchalantly holding a leash, tightened around the neck of a naked and hooded Iraqi prisoner, as he squirms on the floor of his cell?

In another photograph, the waif-like Military Police private casually inspects a line of terrified Iraqi prisoners – again stripped and wearing sandbags over their heads – as they are forced to masturbate.

Grinning broadly with a cigarette clamped in her mouth, England, then just 21 and weighing less than seven stone, added to their humiliation by pointing mockingly at their genitals and giving the thumbs-up sign; a gesture now known as the ‘Lynndie salute’.

One of seven U.S. Army reserves jailed for mistreating prisoners at Abu Ghraib – including her former lover Corporal Charles Graner, a sadistic, camera-obsessed bully who orchestrated the photo sessions – she has served three years in detention and is now on parole.

With a new book to peddle and her appeal against the conviction due to be heard next month, one might have expected the 26-year-old England to express some remorse.

Following Barack Obama’s release of CIA torture files which lend credence to her claim that the ritual humiliation of prisoners was a White House sanctioned tactic during the Bush regime, she even consulted her local senator about petitioning for a Presidential pardon

But ’sorry’, it becomes clear, is not in Lynndie England’s vocabulary.

When we speak, three things strike me: her breathtaking lack of contrition; her unsuitability to have been a serving soldier and her utter indifference towards the horrifically abused prisoners at Abu Ghraib, 90 per cent of whom were later released without charge.

Since no established biographer would touch her life story (it was even dropped by the literary agent who handled O.J. Simpson’s widely reviled book, If I Did It) her biography has been penned by a greenhorn local author, Gary Winkler.

For a man whose two previous works were lilting chronicles of Appalachian life, it has proved a chastening experience. Not only has he fallen out bitterly with his subject and her agent-cum-lawyer and confidant, Roy T. Hardy, but he has patently struggled to get the characteristically withdrawn England to open up.

‘I just don’t think she’s a very deep person,’ Winkler, a white-bearded former musician in his late 50s, concludes miserably.

‘Lynndie only has two moods: bored and p****d off.’

During our first meeting, when she yawns through my questions, I see what he means.

Two days later, however, perhaps enlivened by the anti-depressant tablets upon which she relies, England is more animated and opens up to describe the background to the photographs in more detail than ever before.

They were taken on three separate nights in late October and early November 2003. At the time, her job was to process the detainees’ admission and release forms.

As a clerical support worker, she had no business in the so-called Hard Site at Abu Ghraib, a block of some 40 cells where the supposedly most dangerous inmates were held.

But she routinely sneaked in late at night to sleep with Graner, a hulking 6ft 3in ex-Marine in charge of the night patrol.

After their arrest, she discovered he had also been having sex with another female soldier who worked on the block, Megan Ambuhl, whom he has married while in prison.

At the time of their affair, England was also married, to childhood sweetheart James Fike, so their relationship was against U.S. military rules.

Even after being repeatedly warned, she refused to break off with Graner and was eventually demoted.

She says she was mesmerised by Graner, who worked in civilian life as a prison corrections officer and had an appalling record for abusing prisoners – one claimed he hid razor blades in the prison food.

‘I was blinded by a fool’s love,’ England says in her cigarette-coarsened south-country drawl, as if this explains and excuses her participation in the pictures.

‘I know now that Graner was manipulating me, but at that point I would have done anything he told me.’

I ask her about one of the most chilling pictures, in which seven naked detainees, brought to the block after allegedly taking part in a riot elsewhere in the prison, were forced to form a ‘human pyramid’.

After instructing the men to pile up on top of one another, Graner proudly draped his arm around England, and the smiling couple posed beside the grotesque tangle of human flesh.

Looking at the image now, it appears that the detainees could not have remained in this painful position for very long; yet England says quite matter-of-factly that they were forced to stay fixed in position for ‘20 minutes or something’.

When I suggest that this must have been excruciatingly painful, she shrugs and replies: ‘Probably.’

So why hadn’t she asked Graner to call a halt? A grin and another shrug: ‘I’m pretty sure he’d have said “No”.

‘There were only three of us and seven of them, and he wanted to contain them by keeping them connected and concentrating on not falling – so they wouldn’t overpower us. That’s how he explained it.’

But surely she must have felt some pity for them? As often, she takes an eternity to reply, then says: ‘In my eyes they were the enemy; the other side. What happens in war happens. They would have done 20 times worse to us.’

Five years on: Lynndie England with her authorised biography

We move on to another hideous image, in which the same group of prisoners – one of whom Graner had punched full in the face – were lined up and ordered to masturbate.

How long had this sick charade continued? ‘You are going to find this ridiculous,’ says England, half suppressing a snigger. ‘One guy did 45 minutes! Freddie [Graner's fellow prison guard, Ivan Frederick] just wanted to see if they would do it – and all seven of them lined up doing this.

‘Well, six stopped after a few minutes, but the seventh carried on.’

Hearing this account for the first time, even Roy T. Hardy, her lawyer, who had thought himself beyond shock after representing England for five years, is clearly taken aback.

‘But you were there the whole time?’ gasps bespectacled, roly-poly Hardy. ‘I’ve never heard this stuff before.’

‘Yes I was – unfortunately,’ England says, fixing him with her strange, lop-sided smile. ‘I was standing there, like, watching. I was there the whole four hours.’

Hardy, who doubles as a local assistant county prosecutor, clears his throat, as if about to address the bench. ‘Don’t mistake Lynndie’s grin for amusement,’ he implores me. ‘That’s just a nervous mannerism.’

Maybe so, I say, but she caused so much harm. What people want to hear is an apology.

‘Sorry? For what I did?’ she interjects, incredulous. ‘All I did was stand in the pictures. Saying sorry is admitting I was guilty and I’m not. I was just doing my duty.’

She recites her often-rehearsed argument: that the Abu Ghraib guards were tacitly encouraged to ’soften up’ the prisoners before they were interrogated by military intelligence officers.

Given all we know now, this sounds plausible. It is also easy to see how this gullible backwoods girl became the sociopathic Graner’s stooge; as Gary Winkler says: ‘She was his prop; all she was guilty of is stupidity.’

For all this, however, it is impossible to empathise with her, for she is such an unsympathetic character.

The daughter of a railway worker, Ken England, and his wife Terrie, she was two years old when her family moved from Kentucky to a trailer park in Fort Ashby, West Virginia.

There she grew into a tomboy and loner, never happier than when shooting squirrels in the woods. Until her wedding day, she had never owned a dress.

Teachers recall her for saying almost nothing during her school years, and her defence psychologist diagnosed her with speech-related learning difficulty called selective mutism.

However, she was bright enough to graduate from high school with good grades, and set her heart on becoming a meteorologist.

This ambition began, she says, after she saw the film Twister and became fascinated by tornadoes.

To pay her way through college, she took menial jobs, including processing chickens and serving in a supermarket, where she fell for the mild-mannered Fike.

They were divorced after she admitted her affair with Graner, although England insists she still loves Fike, and would like to get back together with him.

‘But I wouldn’t blame him if he hates me.’

They wed as teenagers, but soon afterwards she joined the local reserve regiment, the 372nd Military Police Company – partly because she needed the money, but mainly because she ‘always wanted to serve’, she says.

Never having travelled beyond the nearby states, and not even owning a passport, she hadn’t expected to be sent overseas.

But as operations in Afghanistan and Iraq stretched U.S. services to breaking point, the ‘weekend warriors’ were marched off to war.

By then her affair with Graner had already begun. Having pursued her for weeks at their U.S. base, Fort Lee, the 34-year-old divorce 14 years her senior, checked them into a seedy motel where the liaison was consummated.

She first discovered that Graner got a kick out of taking – and showing his friends – perverted photographs of her soon afterwards, when they holidayed in Virginia Beach.

This was in March 2003, more than six months before the Abu Ghraib pictures were taken.

While she performed a sex act on him, he reached for his Sony and started clicking away, she says.

‘Whoa! Hey, what are you doing? I don’t want pictures taken,’ England says she protested.

But when Graner insisted they were for his eyes only and just ‘harmless fun’, she relented.

She claims she had no idea he was emailing compromising pictures of her to fellow soldiers until after her arrest; hence her lack of caution when he asked her to pose with the prisoners.

However, as her boyfriend had maliciously shown the Virginia Beach photos to her mortified parents during a visit to her family in April 2003 – by ‘accidentally’ slipping them in among some other innocent snaps they were viewing – surely alarm bells should have rung?

Graner and England were deployed to Abu Ghraib in October 2003, and although nothing can excuse their subsequent behaviour, it is possible to see how things happened.

A few months earlier, the prison had held just 700 detainees, but when they arrived the numbers had swollen to 7,000.

Understaffed, undertrained and poorly led, the guards struggled to control this sweltering bedlam.

Though she insists that ‘everyone’ knew about the detainee photographs, a criminal investigation began only some three months after they were taken, when a soldier with a conscience, Sergeant Joseph Darby, handed in two CDs of photographs which Graner had boastfully shown to him.

Hastily airlifted out of Iraq for his own safety, Darby has lived in hiding ever since. Just as well, for England says she would ‘definitely beat the hell out of him if I saw him’, adding: ‘In war, you don’t rat on your buddies.’

Intriguingly, she claims to possess about 800 more unseen photographs from her time in Iraq, depicting scenes which would be highly damaging to the U.S. Army and the White House, if they were ever released.

Sick: Prisoners are made to lie on top of each other naked

Roy T. Hardy claims they include pictures of an Iraqi woman bearing her breasts and graphic images of wounded enemy combatants, but declines to go into more detail because, until her dishonorable discharge is finalised, England remains a serving soldier.

It is not clear whether these photographs, which are locked away in a vault, are among the hundreds which Obama is withholding – having reneged last month on his promise to release them when he came to power.

But their very existence constitutes a ticking time-bomb for the U.S. authorities, and biographer Gary Winkler believes she and Hardy will try to sell them to the highest bidder.

The author claims England is being manipulated by her lawyer-agent, and describes Hardy as ‘the new Charles Graner’.

Understandably, Hardy, 39, is incensed by this – though the happily married father-of-two hardly helps himself by constantly joking that he and England are having a secret fling.

Winkler is embittered, the lawyer says, because Hardy and England have criticised his book, which was supposed to have been her first-person story but has ended up an error-strewn exercise in vanity publishing. But she needs the money.

She has applied for countless jobs, she complains, but no one dares to employ her, and so, two years after her release she remains unemployed and has given up hope of working.

Reliant on food stamps and the charity of her family and friends, she lives with her parents and four-year-old Carter, the child she had with Graner, in the same cramped trailer where she was raised.

Her hatred for Graner, who is midway through his ten-year sentence, was compounded when he demanded a DNA test to prove Carter is really his child.

England was pregnant by the time she stood trial and maintains that only Graner could be the father.

The result is not back yet, but one look at the boy would be enough for Graner to realise he is wasting his time.

England, now 26 and without a boyfriend – though she receives marriage proposals from twisted internet admirers – says she is depressed because she feels trapped and has lost her independence.

‘I can’t even hunt squirrels no more, because I’m not permitted to own a firearm,’ she moans.

As a result of post-traumatic stress, she says, she also suffers flashbacks and horribly vivid nightmares.

Do they reawaken memories of those chilling photograph sessions at Abu Ghraib?

‘It’s a whole variety of stuff. You can’t hear somebody screaming their heads off and not dream about it,’ she drawls sardonically.

‘I’ll be watching a movie, or TV, and then something triggers it and, bam! I’m back there.’

This hardly sounds like contrition, but is probably as close as Private First Class Lynndie England will ever come to expressing regret for becoming the unacceptable face of the U.S. Army.

They were also convicted of making and possessing with intent to distribute indecent images of children, with Colin Slaven, John Murphy and Neil Campbell.

At the High Court in Edinburgh, they received sentences ranging from two to 17 years in jail. The judge said their crimes were of the most serious nature.

He told them: “These offences involved real children. Many of the photos involved children being sexually abused, often in the most appalling ways.

“These are not victimless crimes.”

Speaking outside court, the father of one of the victims told BBC Scotland: “I think they got a sentence which reflects what they have done, they got what they deserved.

“We saw in court at least one defence of them saying they didn’t think it was real, it was just a fantasy but I simply cannot accept that.

“It happened to my son, who is a real person with a real name, real friends, real interests, real parents and a real bed that he sleeps in at night. He is a real child and the effects on those real children are extremely distressing and traumatic and in many cases will damage them for the rest of their lives.”

The men jailed were Slaven, 24, from Edinburgh; Boath, 24, from Dundee; Milligan, 40, Campbell, 46, and Murphy, 44, all from Glasgow; and Webber, 27, from North Berwick.

James Rennie and Neil Strachan, who were found guilty of being part of the same paedophile network, are due to be sentenced on 29 July.

Civil servant Milligan received the longest custodial sentence, amounting to 17 years behind bars.

Judge Lord Bannatyne told Milligan he was “a major player” in the conspiracy.

The civil servant had also amassed 78,289 images of child pornography, with more than 10,000 graded at the worst levels of abuse.

Defence solicitor advocate Jim Stephenson, for Milligan, said the first offender had lived “a loner lifestyle” and had cut himself off from society.

Insurance worker Boath was jailed for nine years and nine months, while bank teller Webber was sentenced to eight years and nine months.

IT worker Slaven was jailed for three years, including a year for contempt of court after he turned up drunk at court towards the end of the trial.

Cake firm manager Campbell was ordered to spend three years and four months behind bars, while sauna receptionist Murphy was jailed for two years

The network came to light after an indecent image was discovered on a computer belonging to Strachan, a registered sex offender.

Strachan was convicted of attempting to rape an 18-month-old boy in Edinburgh on New Year’s Eve in 2005.

The jury found Rennie – the former chief of LGBT Youth Scotland, an organisation which offers advice on sexuality to young people – guilty of molesting a young boy over more than four years. The child was just three months old when the abuse started.

Ringleaders Strachan and Rennie, from Edinburgh, face possible life sentences when they are dealt with next month.

During Operation Algebra, Lothian and Borders Police identified up to 70 contacts of the group throughout Britain and abroad.

More than 30 arrests have been made and investigations are still continuing.

Det Insp Stuart Hood, of Lothian and Borders Police, said: “It is important to remember whilst this investigation was a success, the fight continues to ensure that all children and vulnerable individuals are protected from this type of abusive exploitation.

“No jail sentence, however lengthy, can begin to compensate the victims in these photographs and videos, some of whom we may never know. Our thoughts today are with them, first and foremost.

“Before Operation Algebra was launched, none of the accused were known to police, with all of them living double lives, competently deceiving friends and colleagues alike.”

David Carradine a fan of ‘potentially deadly’ deviant sex acts, ex-wife said in court papers

Incest and rope around the genitals? Why are whites into this sort of bizarre behavior?

“Kung Fu” star David Carradine, found dead in a Bangkok hotel room with a rope around his genitals, was a fan of “potentially deadly” deviant sex acts, his ex-wife once claimed in court papers.

Her 2003 filing – which also claimed Carradine and a close relative shared an incestuous relationship – was uncovered Friday by TheSmokingGun.com as authorities investigated his sudden death.

Thailand authorities confirmed Friday that Carradine, 72, was naked with ropes tied around his neck and genitals when his lifeless body was discovered a day earlier inside a luxury suite.

The location of the ropes suggested Carradine died while attempting auto-erotic asphyxiation – cutting off oxygen to the brain to enhance sexual pleasure.

“If you hang yourself by the neck, you don’t need so much pressure to kill yourself. Those who get highly sexually aroused tend to forget this fact,” said Pornthip Rojanasunand, director of Thailand’s Central Institute of Forensic Science.

Carradine’s sexual peccadilloes were the focus of a divorce filing by his ex-wife, Marina Anderson.

In the Los Angeles Superior Court documents, Anderson described his erotic antics. Carradine groped her in public and encouraged her to flash strangers by pulling her top off, the filing said.

He also enjoyed the company of “people of questionable character,” the court papers continued. “It was the continuation of abhorant (sic) and deviant sexual behavior which was potentially deadly,” Anderson’s filing said.

In addition, Carradine’s “deviate behavior includes an incestuous relationship with a very close family member, which permeated our marriage,” she wrote.

Anderson said their four-year marriage left her suffering post-traumatic stress disorder, like a soldier returning from a combat zone.

Her filing was supposed to be sealed, but was mistakenly placed with public court documents, TheSmokingGun.com reported. In Bangkok, officials said autopsy results for Carradine would not be available for about three weeks.

The “Kill Bill” star, part of a well-known acting family, was moved from a Bangkok hospital to an undisclosed location by U.S. embassy officials.

Preparations were underway for the return of his body to the United States. He was in Thailand to film a movie titled “Stretch.”

Nationwide manhunt for man who threatened to kill Obama

The gun-loving former New Yorker being sought Friday for threatening to kill President Obama was known in his old neighborhood as the “Cape Man” of Blue Jay Way.

Daniel James Murray, who sparked a nationwide federal manhunt by telling a Utah bank manager he was “on a mission to kill” Obama, used to amble through the streets of upstate Rexford, wearing a black cape and muttering to himself, his former neighbors said.

“Everybody started calling him ‘Cape Man,’ ” said Leighann Anastasia, who lives two doors down from the modest but nicely maintained house Murray once called home on Blue Jay Way.

“He was a little whacked out, it was obvious,” added another former neighbor, Sam Masrouri.

Murray, 36, lived with an elderly couple who the neighbors believe were his parents. They moved out last December to an unknown destination, the neighbors said.

The property used to be dotted with assorted religious statues, including a “glowing cross” in the back yard by the tool shed, Anastasia said.

Murray – last seen heading east and driving a blue 2001 Buick LeSabre with New York plates – purportedly threatened Obama on May 27 after withdrawing nearly $13,000 from a bank in the town of St. George, Utah, court papers say.

“We are on a mission to kill the President of the United States,” Murray reportedly said before he split.
Murray returned the next day and withdrew his remaining $72,000. He was spotted later that day at another bank in Cedar City, Utah.

Wearing glasses and a scraggly beard, Murray was dressed in a black T-shirt with the words, “My way is the highway— God” emblazoned across the chest with a Christian cross sprouting wings, sources said.

Murray’s pursuers are concerned because he has money to burn – and because he has at least eight registered semi-automatic pistols and revolvers. But they rate his threat to Obama “more aspirational than operational.”

“He’s obviously a little off his stride, which becomes more of a concern for police officers who might stop his car,” a federal law enforcement source told the Daily News.

While little is known about Murray, he apparently blames Obama for the economic meltdown that began under the Bush administration.

“With all this mess going on under President Obama with banks and the economy, I’m sure if citizens happen to lose their money, they will rise up and we could see killing and deaths,” he reportedly ranted on May 19, when he opened a savings account at the Utah bank with $85,000.

Eight days later, Murray returned and tried to withdraw $12,698. He flipped out when a teller turned him down because he lacked proper identification.

“Not to be disrespectful, but if I don’t get this money, someone is going to die,” he said, the court say.
The teller then fetched the bank manager, who okayed Murray’s withdrawal. He also agreed to Murray’s request for no bills larger than $50 – and in non-sequential order.

While the teller counted out the money, court paper say Murray declared:

“We are 94 million miles from the sun, and are in between the sun and moon, and the eagle that flies between them and it’s a giant step for mankind … I have traveled thousands of miles to be here and know things that are going to happen … The banking system will fail and people will die … There will be chaos in the world.”

Then Murray blurted out his assassination threat and left, authorities say.

Murray, who had recently been in California, Utah, Georgia, Oklahoma and possibly Texas, was born July 12, 1972, stands 6-foot-2, and weighs 250 pounds

PHOENIX – A man has been accused of sexually assaulting an unconscious woman and broadcasting it live on the Internet.

A statement filed in court in Phoenix says 20-year-old Jonathan Richard Hock was arrested Monday on charges of sexual assault, kidnapping and taking a surreptitious photo.

The court document said Hock set up a Webcam and sexually assaulted the 20-year-old woman in her bedroom in February while she was unconscious from drinking alcohol.

Police said in the court document that the video was watched repeatedly until the Web site where it was posted removed it. It said the Web site service gave a copy of the video to police.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office didn’t respond to a request to interview Hock.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Vampire movie “Twilight” took the honors at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, but it was an unscripted stunt involving “Borat” actor Sacha Baron Cohen and singer Eminem that stole the live show.

“Twilight” swept up five awards, including best movie, best kiss and best fight at the irreverent fan-driven event where viewers had a sneak preview of the movie’s forthcoming sequel “New Moon.”

Australia’s Heath Ledger won the award for best villain, adding to the slew of trophies awarded to the “Dark Knight” actor after his death in January 2008.

But it was the outrageous Cohen, promoting his upcoming movie “Bruno” in which the British actor plays a gay Austrian fashionista, who brought the house down.

Sweeping high above the studio on a harness, Cohen hit an obstacle, spun down toward the audience and landed face down in the lap of Eminem, exposing his naked bottom to both the white rapper and to millions of viewers watching the awards show live on television.

MTV said Eminem stormed out “in a heated rage” after the incident at the Gibson Amphitheatre near Los Angeles where the live awards show was taking place.

“This is very exciting TV,” host Andy Samberg ad-libbed.

“I enjoyed his (Cohen’s) precision landing,” actor Ben Stiller told reporters backstage. “I did not see that coming.”

The MTV awards are nominated and voted on by fans through online polls, producing a more populist selection than the Oscars or the Golden Globes. Winners get a golden popcorn statuette.

“Slumdog Millionaire,” which won a leading eight Oscars in February, went into Sunday’s MTV Movie awards with six nominations but came away empty-handed.

“Twilight” won none of the mainstream movie awards earlier this year but has taken more than $382 million at the box office worldwide and has turned its star Robert Pattinson from an unknown into an international heartthrob.

Viewers on Sunday also got brief previews of other popular blockbusters due for release later in 2009, including “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”, and “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.”

In a show that pushed the boundaries of taste and language, actress Amy Poehler won the new “WTF” award for urinating in the sink in her 2008 movie “Baby Mama.”

“For those of you still living in a cave, the WTF award means, What the (bleep),” said presenter Hayden Panettiere, the teen star of TV show “Heroes”.

Oscar-winner Forest Whitaker sang a classical arrangement of the “Dick in a Box” parody sketch made famous by Justin Timberlake on “Saturday Night Live”.

Disney stars Zac Efron and Ashley Tisdale of the money-spinning franchise “High School Musical” won best male performance and best female breakthrough performance respectively.

Miley Cyrus, also from the Disney stable, picked up the award for best song for “The Climb” from “Hannah Montana: The Movie”.
